Great product for the price
Used once so far. The chaps fit great and are expandable for multiple waist sizes. I am a 36" waist and there was plenty of room for bigger waist's. I had no problems with the leg straps hanging free and I wore the chaps for 2-3 hrs straight. The helmet worked great as well. Once on, the visor kept all the wood chips off your face with no impact to field of vision. I would recommend watching a YouTube video on how to assemble the helmet correctly. Takes a little bit of force to put the pieces together.

Just buy these and make your mom / significant other happy!!!
This is a great deal. The helmet is of a little less quality than the entry level stuff from Sherrill, so I definitely wouldn't just toss it around as I'm sure it would break. I down'The chaps definitely leave something to be desired, but for homeowner use they are better than nothing! They don't cover the inner thigh / groin area well, but will be somewhat effective unless you buck your wood sitting indian style. In an earlier review, someone went on a tirade about how awful they are. This is by far the cheapest deal on the internet; you're getting what you pay for. I got this chaps and the helmet for $60 delivered to my door. Are you really surprised they don't provide the same level of protection as an entry level pair that costs $100 and doesn't include a helmet? But that guy sounded like the type of person that would throw a chain and hurt himself and sue the manufacturer's of the saw, chain, bar and scrench even though he tightened his chain and it was loose...but he was an expert, he watched YouTube video on how to do it.

Must have with a chainsaw!!!
Same cheap junk as farm and fleet stores. But, it works. Wish it was more robust in the hard hat and ear muffs. Will not run my saw without

Good for the money.
Helmet is hard AF to put together. I almost sent it back because of this. Instructions for it are terrible! Everything else is great though.

Chaps are not as pictured!!! I don't recommend, don't get these.
Chaps are NOT what is shown in the picture. And it's not just "cosmetic."The crotch is made differently and as such, they do not cover the inner / upper thigh as I think they should. Inner/upper thigh is where most of the large blood vessels are, the ones that if cut, you bleed out in seconds to minutes. The design of the chaps I received leave that area exposed d/t the chaps riding around to the outside of the leg because of how crotch is constructed. They would provide great protection if your chainsaw jumped out of your hands, ran around to the side of you, spun around backwards so as to bite you in the back of the outside part of your leg. So, to protect yourself when wearing these, while operating your saw, stand with your legs pressed tightly together, like you have to pee, and bend over so you don't cut above knee level and you'll be safe in these. Or better, just stand around in these watching other people cut. If you plan to stand with your legs apart (even LESS than the picture!) and cut with saw at thigh, waist, or higher level, you will be exposed. They just do not fit AT ALL like the picture shows them fitting on the legs; picture looks to me like adequate / good protection ... these don't provide that. The picture is very obviously a different item as the cut and construction in crotch is very different and my pair has black trim which is different than in the picture. That is not honest. I will not do business with this seller again based on this. If it was nearly identical, or different style but functioned the same (ie fit on my legs like the picture) I would be okay. But the chaps I received, in my estimation, offer significantly less protection for a critical area than the ones pictured. While construction seems okay and materials seem durable, materials may meet grade, thus they are certified, but that's like saying "the concrete was good!" but by putting it in incorrectly constructed and reinforced forms the footers ended up completely screwed up!!Waist buckle slips so they slide down on my 34" waist - have to keep hiking them up and tightening. OR!! I found if I keep my cell phone on my belt and loop the belt over that, they don't fall completely down even though they slip out to larger size. Honestly for the price I could work with slipping buckle. Also, the buckles that hold chaps around legs are put on backwards such that you have to twist them to buckle - not a big deal functionally, but just another thing that isn't quite right on these. But again, I could work with that for a good price. As they don't protect like shown, 0 star for the bait-and-switch on the chaps. I don't recommend these, not at all.Helmet was the surprise. I thought Chaps would be okay, helmet would be junk. I really like the helmet. It's more solid than I thought, and quite comfortable as hard-hats go. Ear protection seals well and flips up nicely to allow hearing instructions or carrying on conversation with those around you. Mask seems durable and flips up well - and stays up which is a big deal to me v. other mask I've used. padding is a little chap/flimsy, but works. Helmet would be 4 stars from me.Helmet is by Forester. Chaps don't have manufacturer listed. Had clear safety glasses ... those are still in package out in garage as I wear tinted outside.I like helmet and I figured if the seller will pull a fast one, go so low as to swap out with such a poorly designed product, I won't have much luck with exchange from them. I think I can safety pin, maybe sew the chaps so they don't rotate out around legs as much and cover adequately, probably with less fuss and time than dealing with seller who does this kind of thing. Amazon would probably have given me a refund, but again, I liked helmet and I needed chaps for a scheduled clean up project involving a bunch of sawing of downed trees in a tangle in a creek (not the usual "controlled" cutting of upright trees then with lots of room to cut things up like on my property). I figured some protection was better than none, so kept hiking them up, kept rotating them back around front, and made it through the project.
