Tech 21 Evo Check Material FlexShock for Samsung S8 Light Blue/White

I ordered this for my Samsung S8, it was delivered on time and it fit perfectly.This item has durability.I owned one previously and it lasted for about 5 years.I was happy to be able to get an exact replacement.I would strongly recommend.

I had 3 of these cases over a 2.5 year timespan. I loved this case because it covers the front and back of the phone and can replace a wallet/purse as it can fit creditcard and license in it and closes securely. Never got a screen crack while using this case. However, all three broke. The pieces that hold the front cover to the back of the case (its removable) are very very breakable as thats where all 3 broke. The last one was broken there before i even used it and i promptly returned it and switched to a new type of case. But before it breaks, its an amazing case! Torn because I switched to a new case and it has not broken but I have screen cracks now as it didnt protect as well as this case did. xD

I purchased this because it had the wallet feature. I dropped the phone on my carpet and the front cover snapped off. I have put it back on over a dozen times now and it feels wobbly even when it is in place. I am not sure if this is a fluke bad case design or indicative of the brand going down hill. This used to be the only case I would purchase now not so much.

Great case and easily can store 2 cards in the compartment to avoid carrying around a wallet if you want. I previously used the tech21 case that has a front flap to it which protected the screen much better. 2.5 years with the old case, no screen cracks. 0.5 year with this case, a few screen cracks.

I have an unfortunate curse of Chronically dropping my phone. It's probably been close to 5 years since I've had a phone that made it to the end of it's natural life (replaced by choice or retired). In the last 2 years I've broken 2 and drowned 1. No this case is not waterproof, but it has definitely saved by GS8 from an early grave more than once. It has a raised bump by the head and chin of the device that protects the screen well. It has a nice rubbery grip to it which helps me drop it less lol. however, i have dropped my phone probably 10-15 times since protecting it with this case. Not a scratch on the phone or the case for that matter.**** Pleas mark this review as helpful ****

I got this style accidentally as I meant to get the one without the card slot, but kept it as I saw that Amazon had it cheaper than TMobile. It says it fits two cards in the slot but honestly only one fits perfectly, the second one makes it hard to get them out. I gave it a 4 because when I dropped my phone, the screen still broke and I had to pay $100 to get it fixed so I felt like the case wasn't 100% reliable.

I absolutely love the Tech 21 cases. I first purchased one when I got my S8 because I'm notorious for dropping a phone. Dropped my phone several times with this case and it protected it. Had the first case for two years just now replacing it because the sides were cracking and coming apart. Yes the buttons are stiff on the sides but in due time they will loosen up. If you dont want to spend a fortune on a case you can't go wrong with this one!

Love the color. Protects well. I've dropped my new phone a couple times and there are no signs of damage. The only thing that is irritating is that it seems the edges of the case are turning colors. It appears to have some dark blue around the edges, from what I assume is my jeans rubbing against the light color case and staining it. It gives it a dirty appearance and though I've cleaned the case, it does not seem to improve. But, it does the job. Just wish it didn't turn because it's a beautiful rosey color!

Protects the bumps, Tech21 I have stood by for years and it has helped my phone on many occasions when I've dropped itThe cases are heavy when on the phone but it's part of the design to ensure when the phone drops it catches on the case bounce to protect the rest of the phone as the shock is absorbed by the case

Great looking, easy install, good protection. One issue, couldn't turn phone on or off easily. May have been a one off as all other buttons worked fine, but the Button covering the power/screen off could only be turned off by pushing my nail into it.. Way too stiff. Had to send back after a week as didn't Remedy itself through use.

A great concept BUT the small plastic hinge son the back body of the cover that allows the front flap to stay in place breaks too easily making the product pretty much useless as the front cover serves as the additional protection for the phone. It is supposed to be able to protect the phone from a high drop yet the hinge breaks even from a light tap and as such it devalues the product for me. I purchased 2 of these thinking that the first time was due to my handling of the product but the 2nd cover snapped off easily and I can see now that this is a significant flaw. Once the hinge has been snapped off you cannot install the small plastic strip that you use in place of the front cover and you end up with a horrible gap on the back cover where the strip of plastic should be which feels terrible to hold in the hand. The price is too high for a product that won't last very long for light use. If this issue had been resolved then I would have given the product a 5 star review. I now need to look for another product to provide similar but more robust protection.

My wife ordered this:Personally I haven't been used to paying above 2 or 3 pound for a case for my previous phones, but since getting the s8 I thought I needed to splash out a little more to keep my new phone protected. I needed something slim but would keep it safe if I dropped it (more likely to happen with my clumsyness). After some research tech21 appealed to me more so than others, the 3m/10ft drop height protection made me feel safer.After putting the case on my phone it feels great. It does add a little bit on to the phone, like a tiny bit more weight and thickness, but this is a small sacrifice im willing to give to ensure that it's protected more from drops.The case seems to made from a flexible tpu like rubber. The white border you see on the picture is actually a layer of spongy/ bouncy rubber..I'm assuming this is what will help absorb the shock if it is dropped.I have the orchid grey s8 and was slightly worried that you wouldn't be able to see the lovely pattern on the back; but to my surprise and happiness you can see it clearly. Its looks like a standard tech21 evo check (duh), but has the lace printed pattern on the back.I'm hoping the pattern will last and won't rub off overtime. But due to my job and how grubby my hands can sometimes get, I'm expecting some pattern will wear off and the colour make get a bit mucky.But with this case being the cheaper of the lace editions, I don't feel like I'll have any issue reordering it again as it is so lovely!The only downside I can see so far, is the buttons are slightly stiff, but I suppose it's not too bad as they won't be pressed so easily in my pockets (considering women's clothes manufacturers these days seem to think women either don't need pockets or only need minuscule ones *sigh*).I'll try to update after a few weeks of wear and installing a screen protector🙂
