Done with generic brand filters
I own 3, yes 3 Winix air purifiers (Two 5300 and One 5300-2). I own the (2) 5300 air purifiers since 2015 and I run them 24/7. I own the 5300-2 air purifier since 2019. All three air purifiers use the same model filter (115115 or Filter A) so I only have to buy one type. I guess my house is dirty since I seem to have to replace the main filter every 10 months on all three units. Over the years I have purchase genuine Winix replacement filters and generic brand filters and from now on, I will be sticking to Winix replacement filters. The generic brand filters may or may not fit nice and snug inside the purifiers. I had some generic brand filters that left small gaps and dust was going around the filter. I had dust forming on the fan blades even when the replacement filter was snug. The air quality seems to vary as well. The genuine Winix replacement filters was a lot more consistent with fitment and air filtration. I just bought a new house and replaced all the filters with genuine Winix replacement filters for all three units. The fitment was perfect and the air quality coming out was nice clean air. So yes you can save money with going with generic brand filters but you don’t get the consistency with fitment and air filtration. Yes, the genuine Winix filters are expensive, trust me I don’t like the price either but you get what you paid for. For the record, over the years I’ve bought (6) genuine Winix filters and (6) generic brand filters.

Better than the others I found
Better than knockoffs, I wish they sold multipacks for a better deal. Best performance I have found so far. I keep trying others but come back to this one. Not much else to say, OEM wins so far.

Make sure it’s from Winix page within Amazon to be sure you’re getting a quality product
These work really well and last for the specified time. I would make absolutely positive you are only buying from the Winix page on Amazon itself to avoid drama. I have purchased the filters direct from Winix, but this is the same exact filters set that Winix sells in their set but it’s WAY less expensive. PS These sets come with enough filters for 2 years!

Keep the air in your home clean with regular filter changes!
I have parrots who have sensitive respiratory systems and need clean air, plus I also have environmental allergies myself, so I run 4 Winix air cleaners in my house all the time - 2 upstairs in bedrooms and 2 downtairs in the living room and the dining room. Normally they run silently all day with a green light glowing but if there is any type of odor, the speed actually increases on the fan of the unit and the light glows red until the odor is eliminated the it goes back to green. I’ve been very happy with this system of ensuring the air inside my home stays clean and the filters are not expensive to keep up with regular changes. This is definitely worth the investment if you are concerned in any way about the air quality inside your home and want to be confident it is clean.

Best I've ever purchased.
After having gone through, three different machines... this one is definitely the best I've purchased. Light to move around , easy to replace and effective filter, very quiet at the lowest fan mode, useful to have feature like night mode. Excellent.
