Replaced original dyson hose with this and works great. Fit perfect.

Seems good, performs well, simple to install and a good value for money. The only thing that worries me is that the tube looks flimsy and may not be durable. Will update this review in near future.

Purchased this to replace the hose on my Dyson ball vacuum. Was easy to install and is working great! It matched the old one in color and I can't tell that it's even a replacement part. Provided more powerful suction as well.

Have owned my Dyson 25 for about 4 years now and have been pleased with its performance. The hose clip broke off after the first 2 years of use and like other reviewers used duct tape to hold the hose in place. The vacuum worked fine with the duct tape remedy but was frustrated by being unable to use any of the attachments. Recently the duct tape failed and I decided to order the hose replacement through Amazon which was surprisingly reasonably priced. I received the replacement hose quickly but no instructions. With U Tube to the rescue I was able to replace the hose with no problem. The hose works great HOWEVER the attachments do not fit at the end of the new piece...What the heck? Is this a quality control issue or did Dyson just not care enough to engineer the piece correctly to fit the attachments? Anybody else out there have this problem? Undecided as to whether to keep it or take a chance on another replacement having the same issue. Would have given this 5 star otherwise. UPDATE: I had my son-in-law take a look at the hose to make sure I was attaching it properly to the tool attachments. At first he, too, thought it was a design flaw. But then he continued to work with it, twisting it slightly and applying more pressure than I was comfortable with doing. And it worked! There was no loud clicking noise or indication that it had snapped together but the button which releases it did move into place quietly and released quietly...no loud click like the original one. I tried several of the tool attachments and all fit the same way. It does require a little more pressure to attach the tools but they might slide on more smoothly with constant use. I guess perseverance is the key word. So my apologies to Dyson and anyone I may have inadvertently swayed towards a negative purchase of this hose. I do think that some installation instructions would have been helpful.

I've had my Dyson for over 10 years. The original hose assembly finally ripped off, so when the head assembly stopped working as well, I decided to replace the parts instead of replacing the vacuum. Replacement is abeolutely simple. There are two tabs that remove the hose. Two clicks and bam, it fits right into place. There is nothing negative to say about this product. It works exactly like it is supposed to. Cheaper alternative to Dyson brand replacement parts. I'd purchase again and cannot recommend highly enough.

I stupidly went out and bought a new vacuum before figuring out I could simply replace the hose. I bought this and replaced the hose on my Dyson vacuum - works like new! I'm kicking myself for not figuring this out sooner.

It seems like a lot of people are having a difficult time installing the hose, and I can see why. The bottom portion - the clip at least - is just a tiny bit off. It’s an easy fix though. All you have to do is insert the hose as you would the original one, then take a flathead screwdriver and place it right above the plastic clip part that isn’t fitting properly. Gently tap it downwards with a rubber mallet or something similar and you’ll hear it click into place. At least that’s how easy it was to do on my DC25. Maybe it’s harder on other models; I wouldn’t know. Don’t forget to remove the plastic piece that says “Remove before use!l The hose itself seems ok. However, it’s not as thick as the original, so I’m guessing it won’t last more than a year or two, but for the price I suppose it’ll do. Giving it an overall rating of 4 because the bottom clip isn’t a perfect fit and it doesn’t feel as durable as the original.
