It does the job perfectly!
The media could not be loaded. I used this lock for my bathroom barn door and it works great. It's easy to install, and it was priced right. I have nothing bad to say about this product because it works great, and it looks great too!

Isn’t as strong as you think.
Initially, this lock was amazing. Very strong hold, easy to assemble and was very stylish. Unfortunately, overtime, the lock began to slightly degrade from the door being opened and closed. About six months after having it someone snatched at my door and broke the hook right off. There was nothing we could do to fix it. Ultimately I thought it was pretty good for the price and am considering purchasing a new one.

Mixed feelings about this
About a year ago I ordered the black one and it has been in use since. It works flawlessly and I am very happy with it. The need arose for another one recently and I ordered it in silver. They are NOT the same. The silver one has two ledges on the lock side that the black one doesn't have. You cannot turn the locking lever 360° like you can with the black one. Not being able to turn that lever causes all kinds of problems trying to lock that door. I don't see anything in the description about the silver one not being identical to the black one other than color. The black one is great, the silver one is junk.

These solved our "how to lock" issue perfectly
We built our own barn-style doors for our small cabin because nothing in it is a standard size. Then we suddenly realized none of the "standard" methods of being able to lock doors would work. These are really flexible in where you can place them and installed very easily. My only suggestion is that if you are going to use them, is to consider their placement carefully. Some of our doorways are so narrow that we bump into the latch as we walk by. However, they work great!

Works Great and Looks Good!
The media could not be loaded. I used this on 2 doors in my house on the outside of the door. I was able to do this because of the particular design of the doors... one door is sliding and the other isn't. They work very well and are quite stylish. One very small complaint is I found it only worked smoothly when the latch half was a little higher than the other half. No big deal, though, it still looks good and works great. I got too keep my baby out of the closets and pantry, and to keep her from being able to pull the sliding door off of its rail. Perfect!
