NoSalt Original Sodium-Free Salt Alternative, 11 oz

Full strength left a ‘different’ salty taste in my mouth, so I mixed it half and half with table salt. This was successful, giving real salt flavor with no discernable difference from 100% table salt. Also, I used less of the mixture than I would have using 100% salt. Definitely pleased with the product so far. The acid test was on my daily popcorn…….success!

This product is a wonderful alternative to salt for those with salt-restricted diets. It tastes like salt without the ill effects of salt, and there is no strange after-taste. It is a great value for the money.

Great salt taste for a salt alternative

This is the only salt sub I can stand. The plus side is it gets you buy and helps. However, it doesn’t exactly taste like common table salt so there is an adjustment to the taste buds. It tends to work best when used post cooking. Using it in recipes that call for salt or while food is being baked/cooked/ fried doesn’t work as well. One more negative is they have recently changed the container, it’s smaller, and the lid leaks. So, I just leave the lid in the closed position and the salt sub comes out anyways. Horrible lids!

My grandma, 👵 that pass away⚰️🩻🩺had trouble adjusting her taste buds, to this 🧂 🍚 salt, but after a while she got use to flavoring her stuff with this. However, people with certain medical conditions need to consult with their doctor.

This is definitely not regular salt, but as others have stated, if you use a *small* amount and not the normal amount like it is regular salt, the flavor is not too bad and better than no salt at all. The biggest issue is the container's pour openings are *way* too big, making it difficult to sprinkle a small amount out. The best way to handle this is to empty the container out using the pour opening into a regular salt container with much smaller openings. I would give this product 4 stars if it weren't for this.

This is perfect for making electrolyte water. It’s straight potassium chloride and makes it very easy to make your own electrolyte water rather than buying it. Look up snake juice if you’re interested in what to add.

Doctor said to lower sodium intake so I bought this hoping to curb the desire for salt and it works...it's just not an apples to apples comparison. I didn't go into this expecting it to be a direct competitor but I also wasn't expecting such a strong metallic after taste. Not sure if everyone experiences it but I get a very strong taste of metal in my mouth after eating this stuff and I deal with it because it's better than no salt. Docked a star for the after taste, otherwise this is very tolerable.

But I thought I needed to. I didn’t have high hopes for this stuff. But WARNING you only need the tiniest bit of this no salt substitute compared to how much you would use if this was salt otherwise the taste is way to overpowering and strong. But if you put the smallest amount it tastes almost identical taste salt! I have heart failure so I’m on a sodium restriction & it was really limiting what I could eat & make, not anymore thanks to this stuff. I’m so excited that I tried & found this brand :)

I bought this product as I had heard that it tastes exactly like salt. Unfortunately , this is not true for me. It has very strange " taste" and it remains my mouth after eating. Or to be accurate, it cause strange feeling in mouth. I can't tolerate with this feeling and will toss away the product sadly. It may work with others but not for me.

This tastes just fine and does the trick to replace salt. No complaints there, however, some people are using these to make supplements. I purchased this for that reason, but decided against it after carefully reading the labeI. I suppose it's okay to do this? but this is not pure potassium. There are additives, and I'm not sure how one's body would react to large quantities of these additives. Check yoself before you wreck yoself.

I’m not a big salt person so this does the trick although you have to find the right balance. It is an acquired taste
