THIRDREALITY High Sensitive Attachments for Water Leak Sensor
G**T
Not for small drip leak. Only for pooling leak.
Unlike the SmartThings water sensors, this does not have any sensors on the top for a drip type detection from above. It only has 3 sensors on the bottom which double as the screws for the case and battery access. Not only do these bottom screws/sensors make it inconvenient for a battery replacement or reset of the device, they are too recessed from the bottom, which means the water level will have to be high before it trips a detection. I much prefer water sensors that are way more sensitive, because I much prefer knowing a leak if it starts as a drip, before a pool of water.

Nice Device that works with Home Assistant
I got this sensor for $12 which is quite a good deal compared to other brands. It uses AAA batteries so I am anticipating good battery life out of this but will update if that changes. I use this sensor with Home Assistant and it was pulled into my ZHA instance without issue. Reports are instant. It really does exactly what I was hoping for. The audible alarm is easy to hear even with it tucked under my sink in the vanity. My only con for this device would be that the connection that water needs to bridge for it to trigger is rather big. The connection are the screws that hold the device together on the bottom. This meaning that a decent amount of water needs to leak before this device will trigger. It is still much less than not knowing at all and they are transparent about its capabilities in the listing so I am not going to knock it a star for this. I also wish it had contacts on the top of it like the Samsung device so that water dripping on top of it could also trigger. But hey, this device is exactly as it was described and was cheap cheap cheap. I can't be upset about that. The fact it works with Home Assistant is big ups for me as well. Will be buying more.

Finally an option for Smartthings!
I have been very upset that Samsung pulled out of the Smartthings device manufacturing business and it's been absolutely ridiculous to find another water leak sensor. For the money, I was willing to give this one a shot. There was absolutely no problem integrating it into ST and it worked as advertised. The screws on the bottom also double as the water sensors. My SOLE reason for rating this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the screws are recessed too deeply (in my opinion) so it will take some amount of standing water to get it to alert. On the other hand - they *are* screws so I think I'll just back them out a bit so it takes less water to get them to alert. Call it 4.5 stars...

THIRDREALITY Zigbee Water Sensor
Easily hooked up to the Habitat hub. The device size is small enough but not the smallest leak sensor. Only issues I see is that the sensor plates sit too high on the floor, about quarter inch.I purchased the extra sensitive plates with the leak sensor. They are metal and connect under the screws on they bottom of the device. The water is sensed from the front screw to either back screw. That distance is several inches apart and a quarter inch off the ground.Without the plates it would detect water when it was in a flood and the water level reached a quarter inch high. I feel that is a little late. Would rather know there is a leak at first sign of any water. The add on plates do better but they still sit about the thickness of a quarter from the floor. Better than without.I have other water leak sensors with two metal contacts about half inch apart and sit right on the floor. Much better to detect a leak before it gets out of hand.On this sensor, you could add two wires to the screws on the bottom and put them on the ground near each other for better sensitivity. The connections are sensitive enough to go off just touching with my dry fingers. Didn't need water. That's good news.I used this device for a a sump pump water alert. I purchased a small sump pump float switch that attached to the side of the sump pump PVC pipe. It had two wires which I hooked to the two sensor screws. When the small float goes up the alert goes out. This device works really well for that. I could have used a contact sensor in my case but this sensor was cheaper and it has the extra function to detect water. Although water at a depth high enough to trigger the alarm would be at the point the water level filled the room and started to rise. The sensor also has a sound alarm beep, like a smoke detector. And it sends a signal too to my phone, thru the Habitat hub.Devices uses two AAA batteries. Need to unscrew the small screws to put in batteries. Kind of a pain but hopefully do not need to do that often. Looks like the Hubitat provides the battery life in percent. I should know when the battery is getting low without taking the device apart.Overall, recommend with modification to extend the sensors. The access to the sensor wires, thru the screws, make it easy.

Too Many False Positive Alerts
Having purchased the dual sensor with hub package, one unit was place in our office bathroom, the other near the sump pump hole, both less than 50' from the hub/router. Downloaded/installed the app easily, although a bit confusing at first. Then, linked the app account to Alexa and created a routine for each sensor to alert via an Echo when either sensor detects a leak.1. The sump pump sensor kept dropping out. Had to move the hub within 40' to work.2. The bathroom sensor kept sending false positive leaks every time someone flushed the toilet.3. The sump sensor kept sending false positive alerts every time the sump pump ran until I moved the sensor several feet from the sump pump hole. Again, is it a noise sensor or water sensor?4. The Alexa routine will only set up one sensor at a time and only send alerts to one Echo. This is an Alexa issue I'm sure, however I have to guess where in my home I'll be (we have 3 levels and a deck cabana, each with its own Echo) when a leak occurs, or need to set up 4 identical routines Clunky for sure.5. At no time, with each alert (and all alerts were false positive) over the past couple of days, did the audible alarm go off. And at no time did I receive any push notifications on my phone.6. Sending this pack and trying a different brand. My fingers are crossed for a far better outcome.

Works great with Home Assistant and Zigbee2mqtt
These things are amazing for the price. I bought three of them, they all paired with my Conbee II/Home Assistant/Zigbee2mqtt setup without any problems. As others have noted, the screws are the bridge point that triggers the sensor. So if they are fully screwed in tightly, that's a few millimeters of water before it would trigger. But at the suggestion of other reviewers, I left my screws partially unscrewed. It's now only about 0.75mm - 1mm that water would need to pool before triggering the sensor. The casing still stays on totally fine this way; it has a pretty decent friction fit.The alarm triggers immediately when the contacts are bridged. There are three contacts; two at the bottom of the teardrop shape and one at the top. One of the bottom contacts has to bridge with the top contact to trigger the sensor. It will not trigger if the bottom two contact points are bridged. The alarm is loud enough (though honestly we won't hear it from our store room where our water well pump is). It's loud enough to hear if you're within about 35 feet of it. Otherwise, I'm counting on my Home Assistant's push and voice notifications to let us know about the problem. Since the sensor status in HA changes in less than a second from the time the sensor is triggered, the lack of volume should be an easy thing to compensate for. At $20 CAD each, with next-day Prime delivery, this is starting to compete with Ali Express prices. I suspect we'll buy a few more of these.

They work with Smart Things
They are a great alternative now that Samsung doesnt make water sensors anymore for the Smart Things app. I have two of them in operation .. Been close to two months and no issues. I would have given them five stars but I found them a bit tricky to pair with Smart Things and the instructions could be better .

Almost perfect.
Great for a zigbee smarthub. Connected right up to my smartthings. Great value and works perfectly. I wish you could disable the chime since it's overkill and my batteries on both sets were below 50%. Nice that they use standard AAA batteries. Great value.

Good reliable water leak sensor
Overall very happy with the sensor, I own two of those. It is supported by Zigbee2MQTT integration in Home Assistant plus it has independent very loud alarm which is a bonus in case your ZigBee or HA is down. The only minor drawback is the pairing button is inside the case, so you need to remove 3 little screws with a tiny screwdriver before you can pair it. The screwdriver is included btw

Great sensor
I've purchased a few of these. They link with my zigbee hub easily and send me an alert when they are triggered. I have also created an automation to turn one of my smart lights red if one of these sensors is triggered.
