Celestial Seasonings Herbal Tea, Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride, 18 Count (Pack of 6)

This is for the Gingerbread Spice, and the Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride. Seriously, brew these with Trader Joe's Spicy Chai Latte Mix. It tastes like you're committing a crime. _____ I'll supplement with a more in-depth review: The Gingerbread Spice is insanely aromatic, potent already in the box. I'm typically not even one for this flavour-profile as it's so omnipresent during the cold seasons. That and there's a tendency for it to smell like a cheap candle. Not so with this tea. Whether flavoured with a generous serving of honey and a splash of milk, or, as I've recommended above, brewed in an already-mixed serving of Chai Latte, it basically yields a rich, syrupy, cinnamon pastry that you can both sip and inhale. Or as Edward Norton in "Glass Onion" said, "inbreathiate". The Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride on the other hand has an appropriately less complex flavour and aroma. I brew this the same way as I do the Gingerbread. If I wanna go heavier, I go with the Chai. If it's a morning brew, I go with honey and milk. Thankfully it isn't "just sweet". The barley lends depth, and the orange peel I detect as actually more of a lemony vibe. Just the barest hint, a bright, flowery note, not ever verging on cleaning-product, for those who aren't a fan of citruses. Both these blends bring about a deep sense of warmth, comfort, and familiarity, on top of that feeling of naughty indulgence. They really offer bang for your buck :)

This blend smells deliciously of vanilla and orange zest, but it also contains barley, a high-FODMAP ingredient. I am on a FODMAP elimination, but I find that a tisane made form this blend doesn't have any ill effects at all. I always use two tea bags for a single serving, and I let it steep for six minutes. According to the Celestial Seasonings web site, a tisane made from this blend contains 0 carbs.

I'm not a"weed tea" drinker. I only drink a decent English breakfast/black, Darjeeling, ginger tea, Gen Mai, or some of the teas my friend brings me from Asia. One of the ladies brought this to our Bible study and it is amazing. I cannot drink caffeine later in the day and love drinking tea before bed. I have it with this. As other readers suggest, let it step for 5 min. I do love my black tea with cream. But not this. I also tried adding cocoa to my husbands...yech. that wasn't remotely flavorful and went down the drain. He'll generally eat or drink anything, not that. It looked like a mug after drinking real cocoa that had water placed in it to be washed...watered down nothing. Note to seller. Since most of us are buying this by the case, insert a sample or two of another tea. I won't buy teas to try anymore, but would love to sample others and would buy them if I like them.

It doesn't taste the same as the boxes at the store. No matter how long it steeps it's like lightly flavored water. This is my favorite tea! I've been drinking it for years, buying one box at a time during the holidays. I thought by buying bulk I could have it around all year round. I don't know what is wrong with it. The strength is weak. I checked the expiration. It doesn't even have its great smell. My kids said the same thing when I made it for them. I'm SOooO disappointed. SOooooo disappointed. Box already opened so I guess I'm stuck with it. I'll try putting 3 tea bags in one mug.
