Best grinder ever.
By far my favorite versatile grinder. I put the 7” flat grinding disk on this and grind an entire log cabin no problem. I love how light weight it is and the power is fantastic. I’ve used the normal grinders for years and was burnt out daily for holding them until I found this beauty. I love it.

Absolute beast
I do will not buy battery powered grinder or anything that spins at 9,000 rpm. They simply blow through batteries. Love the 4-1/2-6” on this one and this thing is strong! Noticeable torque jump from the 4.5 11amp. With that range you really only need to buy this one. If this had variable speedI wish it went to 7” this would be the best grinder ever made period. For the simple fact that it is super easy to get 4.5” even 5” but the 6” is way harder to find but not 7” those blades are everywhere. Why I have no clue. The 6” cutting wheels are easy to get. But 6” masonry in a lowes or Depot forget it. They have 7” even on here the blades I love in 4/12 by dewalt I can only find in 4.5 or 7” 3rd party has them but I am seeing a-lot of fake too good to be true reviews which they claimed they cracked down on. When you see 500 reviews on a 3rd party unknown brand and and everyone is 5 stars and they say best blade ever. Run, its all fake there is always some negatives even with the best products. Amazon needs to crack down on that more it is getting way more noticeable imo

Dewalts angle grinder offers good reliability
When I used this at work for cutting metal, I appreciated how smoothly it handled the tasks. The trigger switch is responsive and easy to operate, which makes my job a bit easier. I did notice the tool feels a little bulky sometimes, making it less comfortable during extended use. Still, it's handy for the occasional project and gets the job done without issues. Would have liked a bit more weight balance to reduce fatigue.

NOT MADE IN USA - it's made in India
This DWE43166 angle grinder seems to work well. I've only had it one day and used it once, so I can't vouch for its durability. But if you are looking for a tool made in the USA -- AS THEY CLAIMED IN THE LISTING -- you are not getting that -- IT'S A LIE. This is made in India, with accessories made in China. My photo compares the Amazon listing with the reality of the box info. I would return this if I thought there was actually an American-made angle grinder still being sold. Beyond the severe initial disappointment, I do like the trigger switch design, the balance of the tool, and the power it seems to have. The three different size guards included in the box allow you to switch between the common disk sizes. I hope it holds up over time.

So far so good
This is my 4th angle grinder, but my only one that can take a 6 inch attachment. All my other angle grinders are 4- 4 ½ inch grinders. This is a nice angle grinder and at 13 amps it has plenty of power. I use this angle grinder for cutting metal with a 6 inch diamond cutting wheel. It's a good price for a solid tool. It comes with a 4½in guard, a 5in guard and a 6in guard. It is light when compared to the next step up in grinders (7 inch). However its still heavier and longer than my other grinders which are Makita, Hercules and Bauer. It has some serious power and has a max RPM of 11k!

It's a grinder
I use tools in order to make a living. I have several grinders, most of which are 4 1/2". I recently burned up my Metabo 6" grinder and wanted to replace it. This Dewalt comes with several guards to allow safe operation with multiple disc sizes by switching guards. I read several reviews that mentioned the purchaser had trouble reading the instructions because the print was too small or that they had a hard time figuring out how to install the guard(s). If you have ever actually used a grinder, changing guards will take about 15 seconds to figure out without reading the booklet. I installed the large guard, threw the instructions in the trash with the box the grinder came in and took the grinder to work with me. I have used 6" cutting wheels and 6" grinding discs so far, with absolutely no problems, changing both without the need for any tools. Press the spindle lock, rotate the disc in the counterclockwise direction and remove the disc. Install a new disc, disc nut and then tighten the disc nut by turning the disc in the clockwise direction and go back to work. I would buy another one tomorrow if I needed another grinder. It's a good price on a very good grinder.

This is the best dewalt grinder.
Do you ever wonder why this one cost an extea $100? This is a true 4.5-6 " grinder, it even comes with a 6" guard. Unlike the cheaper priced units, it has the power to actually use a 6 inch disk. With a smaller body diameter to boot. its easy to grip and manipulate this grinder. It has no auto brake, which is excellent for feathering the throttle and detail work. People who like auto brakes on their grinders are either home users or novices when it comes to dressing. These things last for years of heavy use only requiring new brushes from time to time... $10 and about 5 minutes to change.

Awesome
These are sweet grinders. We call them rat tail grinders. I’ve had about three of these. I’m a welder and I’ve used a lot of different grinders. These are the tits. They stand quite a bit of abuse and are heavy duty. The 6” guard is awesome to have. You can get these grinders into some tight spaces other grinders can’t reach because of the narrow handle and body, which is why we call them rat tails. They are easy to use one handed as well. They are relatively light in the hands and you can run them for a long time without your hands getting numb from vibration. With daily use in a heavy duty welding shop.....and I mean a lot of use you should get a couple years out of one if not more if taken care of. And no I’m not grinding my welds cause they’re ugly. A grinder is probably the most important tool to a welder other than the welder itself. I will continue to buy these until they don’t make them anymore. And out of the 14 welders in my shop I’d say 12 use these. The other 2 don’t know any better yet.

Only grinders I use now
I have tried many different brands and even other dewalt grinders but this one in particular seems to hold up the best. As a welder i do look at grinders as a consumable but these ones seem to give the best value for the money! Also, they are lighter than most others I have tried which makes it easier to use for extended periods.
