Hatch Grow Smart Changing Pad & Baby Scale (Grey)

The scale works great and the app is extremely useful for tracking all sorts of growth and feeding metrics. The padding fairly firm and lightly pebbled. Our little one had a blowout and it took me probably 5 minutes of scrubbing HARD with a magic eraser to get it off. For that reason, we now leave a folded receiving blanket on the scale at all times. The mounts that hold the rubber padded feet are made of very delicate plastic. If you move the scale across a counter or surface, you have to LIFT and PlACE it to avoid breaking them. When one of the feet broke on our scale, we reached out to Hatch via chat and they offered to replace it totally free and had us simply discard the broken unit. When the replacement arrived, it also had a broken foot. We contacted them again via chat and they again sent out a replacement. We had to update the scale's firmware through the app but once we did that, we're up and running again. We were so pleasantly surprised with their customer service and cannot recommend them highly enough.

1. Nicely designed, simple and sturdy! The material grips any surface and you don't have to worry about it moving around. The design is also sleek and fits nicely on top of my baby's dresser.2. The smart scale is game changing. I had encountered so many feeding issues with my first baby that I knew I needed a scale at home with the second. I can't tell you how exhausting and stressful it was to go to the hospital every 2 days to check my baby's weight and ensure he was getting enough milk. The scale and app work flawlessly and are pretty easy to use.3. It's a changing pad too so one less bulky item to keep around! Very easy to clean which is a plus when you have a new born for sure.I highly recommend this product, especially for new moms. It will bring you so much reassurance and take the guessing out of a stressful situation!

Love love love this product! It saved us a follow up trip to a lactation consultant. As a first time, breastfeeding mom this changing pad gives me the information I need to know to monitor my baby's weight gain at a frequency I'm comfortable with - no more waiting months for the next doctor's appointment! It also allows me to assess my activity and dietary choices to ensure my milk production is not negatively impacted.The pad fits well on a standard dresser top and I've got not complaints in the look department. The pad is sleek and clean, also cleanups are quick and easy!The app is also super useful and straight forward to use. I can throw away all my diaper & feeding journal sheets of paper :DI just wish I had this from day 1 when I brought my baby home!

I bought this right before I had my son a few months ago and am SO happy I did, even though it was a bit more expensive than a normal changing pad:-looove that I can just wipe it off when things get messy. I have enough laundry to clean lol so it's nice not to have to also wash a changing pad cover-he's an eating champ now but it was really reassuring the first month when i had no idea what I was doing and I could see how much he was eating when breastfeeding-It's wonderful not to have to pack him up to head to the doc's office if I want to see how much he weighs. I like that I can see all of his weight charted out in the app graph-the color works perfectly in my baby boy's room but neutral enough if we ever had a girl! :)Highly recommend to any new parents out there. The first month can be so overwhelming and having this really gave me the confidence that my baby was eating and gaining enough! One less thing to worry about...

Originally, I loved this product. I bought it specifically for the scale so I could monitor my baby's weight while also it doubling as a changing pad. I used the weight function occasionally for a couple months until I no longer needed to track it. It was super helpful in those early days after you bring your baby home from the hospital. Eventually, I put it in a storage tote in our basement as we didn't need to use it often so it could stay clean until we needed it again. Fast forward to bringing my newest baby home and I get excited to use this to track their weight. I instead received the attached error message stating that it has a critical error and I needed to contact Hatch support. I contacted them and they said there is nothing they can do because it is outside of the warranty window. I first used it Nov 2023 and it now May 2025 so approximately a year and a half difference in time (warranty expires after 1 year). I understand that they aren't required to fix it or anything BUT for the price of this product, it seems unacceptable that it essentially will stop working after about 2 months and there isn't really an option for it to be fixed. Definitely not worth it if you plan to use it for multiple children. TBH all the hatch products I've purchased are over-hyped and there are much better/cheaper alternatives out there. Super disappointed in this product and would definitely not recommend!

Works great to calculate my preemie's feedings. I was concerned he wasn't getting enough, and this helped me knpw what to give him in breastmilk bottle after feedings! It is accurate to within 0.25. I have tried it witk numerous household items to confirm it is registering close. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I have forgotten my phone more than a handful of times when I have taken my boy to change/weigh him. This scale will ONLY work and document weights if you have device (phone/tablet) to select option and initiate scale. There is no display for the weight on the scale, only on the app. He is a fussy baby already with diaper changes, so I don't like having to take longer than needed to feed him by getting phone again etc. I am going to set up my iPad and leave It next to scale. Only one device can be connected at once, but multiple devices can be logged in to see saved data. It is easy to zero out to include blanket to keep scale more warm for baby. It is super soft, but tends to get cool for my baby. Highly recommend still.

I love the Hatch. It was a life changer. As a new mom and a first time mom I had a lot of trouble with breastfeeding. My baby had trouble nursing and I was going to the Dr. almost every day to nurse and weigh my baby. She was not gaining weight and the lactation consultants were basically telling me I had to give up. I ordered the Hatch when my baby was 3 months old and I was about to give up on breastfeeding. The day I got the Hatch changed my life. I weighed her before I nursed her and the scale told me she actually ate the right amount. I was in disbelief! The scale is super accurate and easy to use. After that day I continued to weigh her every time she nursed to check if she was eating enough. She's now 6 months old and I'm so happy I got the Hatch. I can see her growth progress from the day we got the Hatch and the percentile her weight is. I also love the app for all of the charts and graphs. It's super useful and helpful to understand her schedule.

I have had it for 5 months now as I write this review and it works great for us. I was basically exclusively breastfeeding and it gave me comfort as a first time mom knowing my baby was gaining weight in the early months! It cleans off nicely and I don't have any complaints. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a fancy changing pad!

I bought this Hatch Baby Grow online from Amazon. Now having an issue and cant connect to use the scale.The main reason I bought it.Hatch will not cover the issue because there is no warranty on the unit because its purchased off Amazon.Not an authorized seller.What a waste of money.Thanks!
