The highlight of the book for me was that the author didn't make any grand pronouncements. Also I found her approach concerning cost benefit of different parenting styles very much relevant.

After reading good reviews, With a lot of excitement I ordered and started reading this book for some useful insights. But there is NOTHING for Indian parents. TRUST ME WITH THIS, IF YOU ARE AN INDIAN PARENT, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME READING THIS BOOK.Emily is beating around the bush, no conclusive details, no advice nothing.Itotal wastage of money and time.Disappoint only.

The book tries to give evidence based advice regarding many parental dilemmas,however in most cases ends up telling you to do what suits you best..Also the perspective is entirely American, majority of the scenarios my not be applicable to indian set ups, logistics and culture at all...So take it with pinch of salt...

The print font is so small it is just not possible to read it. I have already asked for return of the product on 5th August.

I loved this book in how it framed things, gave examples, and made everything a lot more clear when it comes to a myriad of issues that parents face.

I am so glad this was the first pregnancy/baby book we have decided to read. It gives great insights about so many topics and guides you towards the most reliable studies so you can make the choices that work best for you. It also gives you great perspective when you read other books.
