Better than expected for this price range!!!
Not that it is super duper but works very well, smooth and good rebound, pre-load and lockout adjustments. Looks very good, nice thick, hard finish, just buy it and try it!!! Thank me later....

Good purchase!
Very nice fork- replaced the stock fork on my Specialized Hardrock. Stations are thicker, fork operates smoothly, its pretty lightweight, much lighter than the stock fork!! It is nice to have the springs, not a fan of messing with air on a shock. It came with a new star nut, which is nice. Packaging is excellent. Comes with a sticker (my 5 year old immediately put on that his bike lol). Install was easy, took me about 30 minutes. Used a pipe cutter on the fork instead of hacksaw, cut was nice and strait but the aluminum is a little weird to cut with pipe cutter, would use hacksaw next time after that experience. Very happy customer!

A Very Nice Entry Level Fork
I put this on a 20 year old Litespeed Titanium frame as the time had come to swap out the original fork. I don't really do off road on this bike anymore and mostly use it for a bike path/bike lane trainer on my rides with my wife. The fork is an excellent value in my opinion. Weighs only a little more than the original ($600 at the time) 80mm fork. I really like the lockout feature and cranked the preload down to avoid "bounce". Note that it is 100mm so it threw off my position a little but no big deal. If you have a damaged fork or simply want one that won't break the bank and will be fine for recreational level road, gravel, or MTB riding, I believe this is a good choice. Similar models from other makers were about $70 to $100 more and the really nice ones (Fox, etc.) can be $500 or more. This will fit the bill for many for much less, IMHO.

Worked well to freshen up an old Trek.
At half the weight of my original fork, it is a welcome addition while riding the streets and trails nearly nightly, I have nearly 300 miles on this unit. While it sees limited off-road or mountain use, it's mostly weaving in and out of active sprinklers and 'unapproved' dirt trails while you are sleeping. It does however take on all curbs, pot-holes, wheelies, hops, limbs, bottles, stones (and even a 'stoner', but that's a different story). It even squared up with a 9 point buck AND got chased by a coyote (those monkeylights[purchased here] are a 'wild' magnet[bats too!]). At 6' 3"-213 lb., I'll state though the medium spring rate is a little light for me, I've never bottomed them out, or come closer than 2 cm. to those zip-ties (in photo), even with the lockout set less than 50 percent. This brings me to my primary complaint, when the lock out adjustment is set 'tighter' than 50%, where I prefer it, while going over small bumps and such, even cracks/ seams in black-top, it easily falls into a full lock position by itself, requiring either constant re-adjustment or a tolerance to minimal dampening. It does however hold it's adjusted setting at less than 50% lockout. I would have given 5 star otherwise, given the fact I knowingly purchased a medium coil-spring rate fork. I'll eventually attempt to tape it into place, but I can't bring myself to cover up that 'purdie knob. Tire is a 26x2.3, which is as large as seems to fit. (Does not come with fender, reflective tape or factory stickers pre-removed).

A fine old school fork. Out of production
Fantastic fork.100mm smooth travel. Fits non-tapered old school head tube. Has mounts for both disk and v-brakes. very rare. Adjustable preload, rebound with lockout. Coil/oil dampening. So good I bought 2. I was afraid they would go out of production and I was right! If you didn't get one it's too late now. Sorry.

Excellent fit for my 2001 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo e Koo
Great value, excellent fit, good performance. Install wasn't bad, used a bearing puller to remove the seat on the fork, and replace. Wish I had gotten the tool for the star nut, but made it happen with a socket and hammer.

New fork after 24 years
My old fork and steering need some work but not worth the hours nowadays for local bike shop to fix it. So I decided to get new headset and fork and replace them together at our local bike shop. The new headset and fork works seamlessly. Bike rides like a dream! I would say don't give up with your old folk or get new bikes. Just give your old friend a chance and it will shine again!
