Q: How loud is this bell? We live on 20 acres and it needs to be heard.

Nope. We live in the middle of 35 acres and have tested it. You can hear it maybe 50 yards away. It works as a dinner bell when we’re scattered around the perimeter of the house or driveway. But that’s it.

Q: will it rust if used outside?

My bell has been outside over a year and it is fine. If it would rust it would look just as great. Aging is always interesting. The sound could be much better.
