Helps keep you cool!
It's not a miracle cure for sweating, I'm convinced that there is no miracle cure for sweating when wearing body armor but this certainly helps. It's worth a try, especially considering it's low price.

Works great, but...
Does it work? Yes. Good value for the money? Absolutely. I have no regrets in my purchase and wear this daily. BUT, it isn't perfect. Along the edges, there are sharp ends of the material that stick out and poke you, and they're stiff enough that they'll poke right through my 2 thin shirts I wear underneath. Sure, I could wear a thicker shirt that would probably prevent this, but then I'd be hotter, kinda defeating the purpose of this product. If it wasn't for this poking/itching, it would be an easy 5-star review, but as is an improvement in how they make these that doesn't leave sharp ends poking you is probably needed.

Didn't see a difference
Not bad for the money and ok in the comfort area but I didn't feel it actually performed as advertised. Wether I had it on or not I felt the same temperature.

I recommend this bullet resistant vest cooler.
I have worn various types of bullet resistant vest's in my security then law enforcement career. At oven baking temperatures, I needed help for the swear factor. As I have gotten older I have gotten bigger. The vests now-a-days have gotten thicker with the added slice proof. I wear 2 metal shock plates to protect stabbing of my chest and back. It's like having a gas hot water heater insulation!I purchased this cooling system 2 months ago. I have field tested it in 91, 100, 102, and 106 degree heat in Fresno, California. In addition, I purchased TACVENT another vest cooling system. The results: U.S. Armor Cooler is better (unless your lazy and live in a patrol vehicle , then the that cooling tube is the best bet).Why?U.S. Armor Cooler, is made of material. It is not made out of rubber like TACVENT. although the TACVENT design gives more rise between the vest and body than U.S. Armor Cooler and has channels, TACVENT makes more heat because rubber against a hot chest and a stomach that has some fat produces more heat build up.I should know because when I take off my vest, I can see beads of perspiration on my TACVENT every time. I have worn the two, and U.S. Armor...I didn't sweat as much as with TACVENT.Even without channel's, U.S. Armor Cooler's vents channel the heat up and out. It's like a car's radiator. But, it's not made out of plastic or rubber. When I first got the U.S. Armor Cooler it was small and I said to myself, "this is not enough surface to cool me!"I WAS WRONG! It did. An officer does not need cooling of the stomach just the areas of the major producers of heat, primarily your chest area.Although it's not going to cool you down like a fan pointed inside your vest or the cooling tube pointed inside your uniform shirt, it's still way better to have one than nothing.Wearing the U.S. Armor Cooler, I can feel the heat from the vest passing through. As hot air rises I can actually feel the heat coming out of my shirt. At $25.00 than $40.00 it's worth It!I've tried it on my back, no difference made. But on the front it makes a difference ( it doesn't seem that my back produces too much heat, but we are not all built the same)In addition, TACVENT uses friction or zip ties to hold up it's product. If you don't have a certain vest that doesn't have vent holes or mesh in its vest outer carrier, then you'll have to make little tear holes in your carrier for the zip ties. You'll have to purchase more zip ties as you wash your carrier (you have to take off the TACVENT before putting your carrier in the washing machine). Not with U.S. Armor Cooler. Velcro ties are sewn in to secure it to your outer vest carrier. Rip the Velcro right off and now you can wash your carrierThe U.S. Armor Cooler is more comfortable than TACVENT because it's made of material.

Not Worth It!
This was very itchy for my husband! He didn't even wear it once because he got all his gear on and it was scratching him through his shirt! It did not show signs that it would help keep him cool because the wait of his vest basically smushed it.

Worth It
I’ve tried a few products to help me passively stay cool while wearing body armor. Not all of them have been good, but Vent-a-vest does make a difference. It helps heat escape and keeps my chest from feeling wet and sticky. Reasonable price and my item arrived without delay. Would recommend.

It is only one side.
I was expecting both panels, front and back.
