Mabel Home Ironing Board with Extra-Wide Surface, 8 Features, Retractable Shoulder Wings, Adjustable Height, 100% Cotton Cover

Customer Service: The ironing board showed up with one little hole in the top cover (see attached picture), and while it did not inhibit in anyway the functionality of the ironing board I thought I might email customer service to see if they could help. I tried going through Amazon but they were not able to help, only offering to return the ironing board entirely. I emailed [email protected] (found on a card in the box) a little after midnight on Jan 3rd (Friday). I got a response in 45 minutes from Koray Sapci. Koray asked for my addresses and offered to send me a new cover right away. I replied with my address, and Koray let me know I would have my replacement cover Monday. Come Monday I had my replacement cover! The best customer service experience I've had! Product: The product is well built, and incredibly sturdy. It's large enough to be able to do the entire back and shoulders of a dress shirt. At least one of the other reviewers had a problem with the shoulder wings (them falling down, or being misaligned with the main board) but I have had no such issues. There is slight misalignment but not so much that you can't iron over. The wire holder is very handy as it keeps the cable from rubbing against or moving whatever you are trying to iron. the platform is also great for the iron along with a spray bottle of starch. The hanger holder is relatively strong, but it does sag if you put around a dozen shirts on it. Overall: A very good product, perhaps overpriced, but excellent customer service!

New Review: After Mabel Home commented on my original review, I contacted them as requested. They shipped me out a brand-new board immediately and I received it a couple of days later. The new board, which had WAY more packing material included than the original, was perfectly stable. It also included a pad, which the original did not. I still think this board is expensive, but it has features I haven’t found elsewhere, and I think their customer service is top notch. So I have changed my review from 2 stars to 5. Original review: I wanted a good-quality, stable ironing board. When I saw that this one was extra-wide, and had all sorts of other neat features, I decided it sounded like it was worth the money. Nope! Straight out of the box, one of the legs was shorter than the other three, leading it to wobble dangerously. It was so unstable that the slightest jiggle of the board sent my (hot) iron crashing to the ground—the exact reason I got rid of my old ironing board in the first place, and I only paid like $15 for that one. So what was the point of spending $130? In the end, my husband taped some cardboard to the short leg to stabilize it. However, this should not be necessary for an ironing board this expensive. Never again.

My ironing board from the 1960s finally fell apart. It traveled with me in the military to many locations. I loved it because it was so sturdy. Now we come to this purchase. After much research I was looking for an ironing board that was sturdy, not rickety, practical and would last for many years. What a wonderful product. Expensive? Yes. But worth every penny. Great ironing surface-shirts are a breeze to iron. Great elevation for those with back problems. The iron rest is wonderful (since my old board always knocked the iron off to the floor). The TV remote holder is also a great little feature. Comes with extra ironing board cover too. The little wings on the end are interesting and useful for shirt ironing. The cover also is just right allowing for a very smooth surface for ironing. It is a heavy item because of the construction-I have moved my ironing location to compensate for this. But of course I wanted a sturdy one-it is that. Well, I could go on. Try it, you'll love it. And if you have a problem, ( I did not) their wonderful customer service will take care of it right away. Lastly, you can show off your new purchase to friends and family and impress them on your purchase.

This is a great ironing board! I needed a big/stable surface for quilting- and sewing-related ironing, and this board is fantastic for that. The only thing I'm docking a star for is the "100% cover," which became scorched and gunked up my iron with minimal use. I rest my iron on a silicone pad so it's not even resting on the ironing board itself - the scorching was just from regular pressing and ironing. I'm in the process of making a new cover and padding out of cotton fabric, cotton batting, and Insulbright. When I took off the existing cover I realized it's just a piece of padding with fabric/interfacing fused to it. Very odd! Anyway I love the ironing board and replacing the cover is worth it for me, given how sturdy and large the stand is.

The ironing board arrived very quickly. The product is very well made. Excellent quality as one should expect from Mabel Home. We are well pleased with it. This is an amazing ironing board that makes the chore of ironing so much easier! For a start, the board is much bigger than your standard one, making large items, e.g. sheets, table cloths etc. quicker & easier to finish. The retractable wings enable shoulders in shirts & blouses to be ironed in one swoop together with the back of the garment; this cut the time it took to iron one of these garments in half. When completed, there is a useful hanging rail behind the iron plate. If you can't manage without your mobile 'phone or T.V. remote, there is a useful little basket attached! I think mine will probably be more useful as a secret jelly baby store! The board has an attractive, well padded cover. Overall, the item is strong and stable while in use with multiple height adjustments. It folds up and down easily, locking safely into a closed position when not in use. Obviously, the board is larger and heavier than a standard design, but easily manageable and definitely worth it. I love it!

I love my ironing board. It is completely worth the money. The ironing pad is thick and doesn't leave marks in the fabric being ironed, I love the adjustable "wings" that can be folded out to give a more squared surface or folded in for a more traditional board. I usually have them up when I iron my sheets and do not get creases at the joint. I also love that this ironing board is wider than most boards on the market and sturdier. It isn't flimsy. If you are looking for a quality, well built ironing board this is the one to buy. It has a hard plastic board to set your iron and a little basket that slides out where you can set your remote (I keep my water refill cup for my iron there, my remote for the tv, and hang a small spray bottle off of it too). I also really appreciate the metal clothes hanging rod that rotates up and can be snaped down for storage. I use it every time I iron. I find it holds about 10 of my husband's button-up shirts on plastic hangers before I feel they get too heavy for it to hold. In all, I feel like this ironing board is a great buy, sturdy, well built, and innovative. I reccomend it to anyone looking to upgrade or replace their ironing board.

My European-trained mother was well-known for her ability to make anything thing posh and pristine simply by ironing well. She began to train me to iron handkerchiefs and pillow cases when I was ten years old. This was fifty years ago. Since that time I have ironed everything from Barbie doll clothing to wedding banquet tablecloths. I have owned six ironing boards and was broken-hearted when my Martha Stewart oversized ironing board would no longer stand without a shim holding it in place. Yes, I was broken-hearted UNTIL my Mabel Home Extra-Wide Ironing Pro Board arrived! This is the absolutely BEST ironing board I have ever owned! It is super-easy to set up, light enough for me to carry and best of all, it has these amazing little wings that extend, easily accomodating linen tablecloths. I also like the iron rest it has at the end of the board, with a cord holder that folds for storage, as well as a rack for hanging shirts or other mid-length items. The ironing board cover is so-so; I would have preferred it to be a bit thicker. I ordered a second ironing board cover to fit. Overall, five stars and well-worth the price!

I dont write reviews but this was the most expensive mistake purchase I've ever made. Very disappointed. Unable to return. This board had promise. The cost of this board is outrageous given the poor design implementation. It was obviously not tested because it wouldn't have left tge design floor otherwise. The wings that are supposed to replace the use of the square end are useless. They only cause pooching of the cover and a line/crease on your garment when ironing. The cover does not tighten, it is made too small the drawstring is so thin it has no power or leverage on the heavy material to draw it in and the wings are literally designed to be in the way of it. This board is huge and HEAVY. I hate ironing as it is and now I dread it because of this board. I just want a cheap standard ironing board which these days is still over $50 and I cant stomach putting this >150 dollar board to the road to spend another 50 to replace it. So angry with the company for putting this crap out there at that price and angry at myself for wasting my money on it.

Wow, the ironing board is great, it is expensive but your ironing board takes a lot of use and they need to last. The features are very handy, especially the shirt extension pieces makes ironing shirts much easier. The width is amazing, speeds up the ironing and duet covers are much easier to do. Highly recommend this ironing board.

Viele günstige Modelle enttäuschen ja schnell – aber das Mabel Home Extra-Wide Ironing Pro Board hat mich komplett überzeugt. Aufbau & Verarbeitung: Das Brett ist solide, steht stabil und wackelt kein bisschen. Die breite Bügelfläche ist ein echter Gamechanger – besonders bei Hemden oder Bettwäsche. Die Schulterflügel sind genial: endlich lassen sich Hemden viel einfacher und glatter bügeln. Komfort & Details: Die Polsterung ist hochwertig, der Bezug hitzebeständig und gut gespannt. Auch kleine Extras wie die Ablage für das Bügeleisen, die Kabelhalterung und die einstellbare Höhe zeigen, dass hier wirklich mitgedacht wurde. Fazit: Ein richtig solides, funktionales und komfortables Bügelbrett, das seinen Preis absolut wert ist. Ich hätte es ehrlich gesagt nicht erwartet – aber hier stimmt einfach alles: Stabilität, Komfort, Verarbeitung. ➡️ Klare Kaufempfehlung – perfekt für alle, die regelmäßig bügeln und Wert auf Qualität legen.

My first ironing board in nearly 10 years. This is expensive but well worth the money. Very sturdy and strong, but good weight. Good positioning and wide space for my very large iron. Should hold out for a long long time. Putting up is easy taking down is a bit more tricky to work out, but once mastered no issue.
