Paramiltary Christmas Special.
Lobo's "Paramilitary Christmas Special" makes this graphic novel, IMO. I couldn't get through "The Authority" part of it. Everything from the art to the writing seemed very off to me. But The Paramilitary Chirstmas Special is possibly Lobo's best comic book(at least from what I've read so far,) Him fighting Santa Claus was awesome. The whole plot of the story was hilarious and solid. Definitely recommend reading Paramilitary Christmas Special if you can. I'd suggest trying to find it separate from "The Authority" part. I just don't find that worth reading. I find the best written Lobo is from the writers Alan Grant and Keith Giffen. And you can't beat Simon Bisley's Lobo. That's the defining image of Lobo, IMO. I really don't like the way people have been drawing him as of recently.I hope we can get more of Grant/Giffen/Bisley's work in graphic novel form. How about some of the parodies like Lobocop? That'd be great to see. One can hope.

Lobo/Authority: Holiday Hell
collection of 3 Lobo stories: 1) Paramilitary Christmas Special: the Easter Bunny hires Lobo to kill Santa. 2) Lobo Authority Jingle Hell: The little girl with super brain powers wants Lobo dead for killing Santa. 3) Authority Lobo Spring Break Massacre: The Easter Bunny still owes Lobo for Santa job. Lobo collects. Fun group of pretty good stories.

Not a personal favorite
I'm a big fan of The Authority, and I certainly know Lobo from his appearaces against Superman. But somehow the Authority/Lobo combination doesn't work for me. More important, the holiday theme includes a non-Authority story that I found especially disappointing. Authority fans can safely pass this one; Lobo fans, take a chance.

Initially a Rather Hateful Read, But..
as the story progresses, the characters become more and more likeable and the plot more and more impressive. The start of this book is obscenely violent and seems to assume some familiarity with Lobo, whom I didn't know, but after several pages of graphic elf killing, the story links up with the Authority and takes on a more "organized" (used loosely) approach. By the end, I was loving this book. I'd recommend this to anyone with a warped sense of humor and/or appreciation for "bad guy antiheroes."

Bisley at his best - Ultra violence with great humour.
I am a massive fan of Simon Bisley's work and this graphic novel ranks up there with his best work. The art is of course fantastic and the story, although sometimes overly violent is told with great humour. This is best shown in the first of the 3 stores where Lobo is hired by the Easter Bunny to take out Santa, a fat dictator who rules his elves with an iron fist!A must for graphic novel fans!

Excellent COMIC book
This is a highly entertaining lecture. Absurd violence, quality humor and a mother lode of action. Can't beat that... Cause Lobo will beat the crap out of anything anyway. If you're having second thoughts about The Main Man fighting Santa and the Easter Bunny, don't... It's hilarious, full of gore and darn right pure entertainment.
