Updated Review after years of usage
I received this sim card in the mail within 4 days of making the purchase. My trip to Portugal is in 6 weeks, so I wanted to have ample time for its arrival and to test it out. Installation was a breeze (actually removing the sim from its packaging was more difficult than necessary). I inserted the sim in my powered down and unlocked iphone 5, then rebooted. I had already downloaded the KeepGo app and clicked on the APN option. It automatically installed the profile on my phone. A few seconds later I had the TMobile 3 G signal show up, and have had no problems surfing the web, or downloading emails. After I complete my trip to Portugal I will update this review, but so far so good. UPDATE: I've just completed my trip to Portugal. The sim worked splendidly without any issues. Plus, I still have over 800 mbs left after using it for 5 days! I had a layover in Spain going and coming back Portugal and it connected to a spanish carrier without any problems. This is definitely a great investment since I take international vacations annually. Hooray, I can leave AT&T's costly Global Pass behind forever. Now, if only the sim covered South Africa. Hopefully, that is a future project. 2nd Update: Over the years I have used this data sim in Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Denmark and Argentina. It has worked splendidly. I've learned after years of using this sim that one should close all open apps, and block all non-essential apps from using cellular. In fact, turning off cellular roaming altogether when not in use (alternatively put in airplane mode) will dramatically save on data usage. Most importantly, do not send photos over cellular (this is a data hog). As for operational problems that you may have--simply power down your phone completely, wait a few seconds and reboot. This method has worked for me every time I run into an issue.

Worked like a charm in South America
I recently used this SIM card on my unlocked iPhone 6 and it worked like a charm in Ecuador and Colombia. Set up was super easy, I did it at the airport prior departure (from Puerto Rico), downloaded the KeepGo app, followed the instructions, and it was working right away. The 1GB lasted a little over 8 days. I turned off almost every app from cellular data if I didn’t need them, except whatsapp and safari. Google Maps does consume a lot of data, so I downloaded the maps and places of interest prior to my trip and connected to Maps if I needed extra info. The SIM card connected to the Movistar network, and I had to select the 3G network for it to connect (no 4G or LTE available). For me it worked perfectly. Once I returned I had to delete the KeepGo VPN Configuration in Settings for my phone to read again my regular SIM card. Compared to the costs of other phone + data cards, this was a deal for me, since I didn’t need to have phone service over there (most people communicate via whatsapp).

Did not work in Portugal.
I bought it for my son who was leaving on training ship to go to various European ports. We activated the card in the US to try if it works before he left and he was able to get data connection and make test calls using What'sUp app. A month later he arrived to Porto, Portugal and the card did not work at all. He was able to call me from a place with free wifi. I tried calling the company, emailing them and also used the chat feature on keepgo.com page but no one got back to me, so support is non-existent. This is a waste of money. I can't get money back for this product either.

Great Card. Some of the others promised unlimited data then you find out that around 500mb (which is nothing) you get throttled making the internet useless. With card you get you paid for with out them slowing you down to 2g. Also in the USA 2g has been discontinued by many phone companies and the last one t mobile is planning to drop 2g as well so the other devices will stop working after you hit your 500mb. This card wont slow you down on purpose. If the fastest network is available it links to that. And the fund you add last up to a year. the other ones you have 30 to 60 days to use once you used it once. This is important I had a different company that claimed 12 months of service, but if you used it once you had 60 days to use it all unless you are willing to top up again. So it actually was more expensive if you travel frequently in a year. With this plan I have exactly a year to use my data, I can use some now, and 2 months later use more. They dont force you to use it all in 60 days. Also if you refill it carries over and adds 356 days of service. If there is a year I dont travel and I am closed to the expiration date I can use their $9 top up and add 365 days of service. Best sim for travelers who travel frequently. My point is that it seems like data is expensive, but if you travel frequently you realize the other plans which appear cheaper are not cheaper, because you will have a short window in which you must use your data, data does not carry over, and most require constant top up, some promise 24 GB for example but only provide 12 gb when outside of that companies country. some even charge per minute of data used while abroad on top of what you paid. Nov 2020 update. I have had this card since 2018. And it is still the best for international travel. I ended up buying a second one to have too. The only issue is that it is "pricier" than other companies or appears to be. This plan requires you to only recharge once a year and your data carries over. So you keep your data with a simple recharge. This has been great as I only have to pull out the sim when I am travelling. I tried using google fi as well to compare the difference. Problem with google fi was that it worked well in the USA, but abroad I had continuous drops, and drops at the worst times. Second issue was that the speeds deprioritized a lot to 3g and 2g. So I ended up cancelling google fi. Worst is the data does not carry over and you have to pay monthly. So keepgo while it appears to be more expensive may actually be cheaper in the long run, not to mention better quality, I have never been deprioritzed with them nor had speeds lower than 4g. strangely in Brazil, it was running at speeds 4.5G never seen that before but hey it was running fast. Great product, great that it carries over unused data.

Super Kundenservice. Hat ohne Probleme in Panama, Peru, Bolivien, Chile, Osterinseln und Argentinien Funktioniert. Die Preise sollten etwas gesenkt werden, wenn man Nachbuchen möchte.

Great lifetime data plan. To achieve the lifetime you just have to top up atleast once a year with their min $3-100MB top up. Great for IoT devices. So good I bought a 2nd and may have to a third.

Don't get me wrong I was really hopeful that this product would work in my Canadian cell phone, Samsung S7 on my trip to Germany, Munich and South Africa. Both of which locations are listed. However that was not the case. The customer service people tried to fix the problem, but I had tried everything before I even called in. Aside from them resetting the network connection. I am a fairly savvy person technologically wise, so that was not the issue. What really bothered me was i kept getting disconnected because i had to call over wifi to speak to customer service because obviously my data wasn't working and i kept getting disconnected. So everytime i called back i had to go over the same spiel everytime. It would be nice if they could write down the issues before so we didn't have to waste each others time over and over again. It was honestly the worst part of my trip. Do yourself a favor and make sure you are guaranteed coverage to the best of your ability for where you are going. I ended up having to use my wifes phone to roam each day which was a lot more expensive. If they can't offer service in certain parts of countries they should not have it listed, because it really is a downer to find out you have no phone service when you are half way across the planet trying to get a hold of loved ones.
