3in1 Multifunction Test Kit

Quite chuffed with purchase. It's not perfect (see cons below) but it's really helped me understand how my body is responding to keto. I first used keto to 'reset' my body 12 years ago and thought another round would help me reach some fitness goals. I did it without a meter the first time but wanted to take away some of the guess work this go. The meter has been amazing. It's helped me confirm when I crossed into ketosis at the start, to spot why my progress had slowed a couple of weeks in (nuts are TOO good!) and to measure how long it takes to return to ketosis after cheat days. As for the 'cons'... The instructions are poorly written though the device is easy to use once you figure it out. The guide is mostly for diabetics but there's plenty of info online as to what the ketone and glucose readings mean for someone on keto. Another downside is they only give you 10 keto test strips so I had to buy another box of them. I'm still giving 5 stars despite the shortcomings as the meter itself is accurate and consistent. I don't use it so often now but the readings when I do are invaluable.

The unit is exceptionally easy to use. Don't bother with the long instruction manual, just watch the video how to use it. The unit is probably accurate without checking with the pre-calibrated formula. I tested it on me and my wife, and the readings seem sensible. Note that the instruction tells you to test it with the formula, but this formula cannot be purchased anywhere! I was very close to returning the unit for this reason, but I'm glad I didn't. All in all, very easy and quick to use. Versatile - can test uric acid, glucose and ketones. The lance is excellent. All works very well, almost like a professional piece of kit. Highly recommended. ----------------------------------- Update after 3 months of use: The readings are about 20% inaccurate (too high) in comparison with the lab data and a more expensive UASure II unit which I bought from America. However, it is consistently 20% greater, hence it can be used if you know this. There is also about 8-10% scatter in the results - if you do a few measurements in a row. Also, some measurements are completely off, but this is only once in a while. So, given the price and availability, this can still be used if you understand the limitations.

Works fine but keep buying extra markers

3in1 meter, can test blood glucose, uric and ketone all from 1 Meter. You need to cailbrate each time to change to different type of test strips. Comes with storage pouch which could have been bit larger to store all 3 test strips.

I've had previous blood glucose monitors and gotten on OK with them. This one though, for me it's difficult to handle. The set up was so fiddly and awkward I had to get someone else to do it for me. The number are clear enough on the monitor but any other icon isn't that clear due to size. I've found to get one blood result I've ended up using 3 or 4 strips each time due to error messages on insertion or collection. All in all its not for me due to it not being clear enough to read and set pre or post food; and not being easy to handle. It's being returned and I'll go back to my old one. UPDATE Before I had contacted the seller, they had read my review and had offered me a full refund as I wasn't able to use it. Although this item doesn't suit me, it will probably be fine with someone without dexterity issues. The customer service though, I found it a very pleasant surprise, I thought it might be an issue returning the item, but this seller is ahead of things and is pro active. Something you don't often see now.

The elephant in the room is getting error messages and nullifying results, hence wasting strips. The answer is to wait for the strip to register in the monitor ( just a few seconds and the monitor displays the strip number), then slide the strip into the bead of blood, and the strip absorbs the required amount of blood through the tip. I can check glucose, ketones and uric acid with just one bead of blood. Results are accurate. Products are well made and the strip prices are reasonable. I use mine every day and I am pleased to say, very satisfied with this kit.

Amended review. I had given a negative review previously, but this was based on user error. Worth watching the instructional video or reading instructions to ensure that you're getting it right. Not complicated, insert the test strip, then add the blood sample to end of strip. It works very reliably. Easy to use.

Only thing is you have to calibrate it each time you want to test something else, works well
