Ridiculously high insertion force -- UNUSABLE for microcontroller development
These boards appear to be nicely constructed and show little or negligible signs of warpage. Unfortunately, the force required to insert components is too high. I was unable to insert an Arduino Nano by hand. The units I received should not have passed inspection. I am unable to use these for microcontroller development.I will add that I am generally pleased with Elegoo's products, so I'm surprised to encounter this problem. I'm having the same issue with some 850 tie point boards that I just got, so I give them points for being consistently bad -- I suspect a recent production issue needs correction. My suggestions to Elegoo QA would be to confirm that popular boards like the Arduino Nano and ESP8266 dev boards insert/extract readily. While it's fair to point out that the header pins on these boards are significantly thicker than typical electronic component leads, I have never struggled to use ordinary breadboards to work with them. It's also fair to say that the sockets responsible for accommodating those thick header pins will never tightly grip ordinary component leads after that. This is not the manufacturer's fault.

Works for me!
I'm a noob at basic electronic circuits, but I'm getting into it as a hobby. I picked these up to use as an aide to help me visualize circuits off of schematics, build simple circuits, and prototype circuits that I might want to permanently solder to a proto board or PCB.These have done just that, so I'm happy with them. I tested all three with my multimeter in continuity mode, and all three are fine. I haven't used them extensively so I can't comment on if every hole in the board is formed properly, but again, these have been working well for my needs.

The new kit of breadboards is much better than the old one.
On my first review I said the product didn't have a good quality because the terminal connection of the breadboard was not tight enough, so usually I had to check all connections and wire of the project. After this review, on middle of november/18, Elegoo contacted me to apologize about the quality of the product. They said "We've already designed a new breadboard which is much better then before". They sent me a new kit of the breadboards which is much better. The quality really changed and seems to be better than the first kit I bought. They contacted me one month after my first review and it shows me that Elegoo really care about your customers and your products.

Best of the Bunch !
I have to write something to make the A....n review bot happy, which I think is ridiculous, considering I gave this item an excellent review.

Looks like one manufacturer, many brands
I don't know who's rating breadboards these days, but I've been doing electronics since the '90s and this is not what quality looks like. The power bars are separate pieces apparently held on by the double sided tape. It's very flimsy when trying to connect 2 boards together. The double sided tape also gets in the way as it overlaps the connector slots. I feel like I'm going to rip the power bars off every time I take them apart. Yes, these things are 3 pieces which are literally taped together on the bottom. That's not what quality looks like. These look exactly like every other breadboard I'm finding, meaning one company in China is likely mass producing them as cheaply as possible and they are being sold under a bunch of different brand names. These will work in a pinch, but I can't use this junk long-term. It's difficult to find quality breadboards these days, apparently, because everything I'm finding looks exactly like this. It has been a while for me, but I'm pretty sure a quality breadboard will not include an adhesive strip on the bottom. If I need that you can get it anywhere, and you can properly size it so it doesn't interfere with board interconnection. A quality breadboard should also be a single piece or have detachable power bars which attach solidly. As I said, it's been a while, but this is junk.

Better/cheaper alternatives available
These are for the most part, a satisfactory product. Build quality was good and the shipping from Amazon was quick. There are, however, a couple of issues.Probably the biggest issue is that leads of contemporary components, and in particular: resistors and ceramic capacitors, are a very fine 30 gauge. As a consequence they are not gripped well by the breadboard which results in frequent open connections. Turn the board upside down and some components may actually fall out. I could get some components to stay put only by folding over the leads - but this was problematic when trying to get the out. Before buying these breadboards, I had purchased, also through Amazon, a component kit from ProTech Trader. This was a companion to the book 'Make: Electronics' and included a breadboard labeled SYB-120 which did not suffer from the loose component issue. Googling 'SYB-120' I found several suppliers, one of which (Open Impulse) was selling breadboards for $1.03 ... for TWO! (I had paid $9.99 for three Elegoo boards). The SYB-120s differ from the Elegoos in that they only have one bus running down each side and no labels. Nor do they clip together the way the Elegoos do. I ordered five two-packs (10 boards) for a total outlay of $5.15. The only real downside is that they took almost 4 weeks to arrive.

Simple breadboards, no issues
Got a little worried from other reviews but it seems fine. No noticeable warping of the boards I got and the sockets are all fairly tight. The power rails on all three of the ones I've received are a little loose but they still retain jumper cables fine.Seems like mine are nickel plated but that is more than adequate.

No problems
The breadboard arrived as scheduled and is as good quality as can be expected. Gets the job done very well, at a low cost. Would buy again.

These are useless for there intended purpose.
These are junk. So nicely packaged, I was like, these are nice, until I tried using them. It’s virtually impossible to push resistors and other components into the board. The power lines are so loose they don’t even grip the wire. What a huge disappointment. Not worth returning, I’ll chuck them out and order something different. It sucks when you finally get some time to work on a project but you can’t because the parts you ordered are useless.

Both Rails floppy. Hard to push in components/wires UPDATE
UPDATEI've used a lot of bread boards over the decades and these are the WORST I've ever seen. Not only is it hard to push in pins and components, but as I've found out over the last couple of days, the connections are not stable.I had an issue with an LCD being unstable, only to discover that even with wires plugged into the board deeply, they still were not always making good contact. These will end up in the trash and I'll have to source out some good ones.I WILL NOT BUY THESE AGAIN._________________The rails are only held on by a foam sticky pad and easily bend down. If bent too much, of course, they'll come right off. I supposed it's fine if someone is going to 3D print a little support for them and stick it to that.I have other ones this same size that are a lot more sturdy. Also, now after using them for a bit, I can tell that these are really cheap quality. With very many of the holes, it's really hard to push in a component or wire.It appears that the metal retainers inside are possibly off alignment. So you literally have to go through each hole with a tiny, but strong needle to force each metal retainer to move into its right position.I won't buy these again! Also, the seller has not reached out to me to replace these with their "new version" as others have reported!!!!

Nice boards but not appropriate for Arduino
Nice boards that appear to be what a breadboard should be. When it came to installing headers for the Arduino the pins could not be inserted without concern for either damaging the header or permanently sacrificing the header to the breadboard. Checking the headers against another manufacturer and there are no issues. The two boards look exactly the same. The only difference is that the header fits into one of them but not this one.

They have been redesigned and the new version is top-notch!
Please read the entire review. For transactional purposes, I have left my old review here. The company reached out to me and sent me new boards. They have redesigned them and the new ones rock. I have attached some pictures to show the difference. Based on these new boards, I highly recommend them. You should disregard any review that is reviewing the old boards. I am not entirely sure when they started shipping the new boards, but I got mine June of 2017.Original Review:They are OK. But only OK. All 3 of mine were extremely warped and do not lay flat. I am not sure I trust them based on that fact alone. I will not be buying them again.UPDATE: After about half a year, Elegoo reached out to me after seeing my review and has sent me 3 more. I have updated from 2 stars to 3 stars because I thought that was pretty cool. I am a fan of customer service, and that really shocked me that they reached out. I will update again once I get the boards to see if the new ones have the same issue, or if the problem has been corrected in this batch.Update 2: I just got the new boards from Elegoo. They were not kidding, they have redesigned the boards. They feel much better now, more solid and professional. All 3 of the new boards were perfectly flat and straight. I am sending these bad boys straight to a 5/5 for the fact that:1) The amazing customer service. This is the first time a company reached out to me based on reviews and actually fixed the problem. That speaks for itself.2) The new boards I would recommend. They are solid. Night and day difference compared to the ones I bought awhile ago. You can pretty much throw out any review that is using the old design.

What happened to the quality?
I've been enjoying Elegoo products now for about 8 months, starting with their Mega 2560 Starter Kit which came with one of their branded breadboards. A few months later I bought another breadboard of a different brand but wasn't too satisfied with the quality so when it came time to buy more breadboards, I read the reviews posted here and was excited to learn that Elegoo had revamped their breadboards and that customers were satisified with it, and decided to buy more Elegoo brand breadboards. After placing the new ones side by side with the first one from the starter kit, I was shocked at the difference in colour. The "new" ones are yellowish and look like they've been exposed to direct sunlight for the last decade. You can see the difference in the photo. Look again and you'll see that the power rails are the proper white colour; it's just the central part that's this off-white, yellowish colour. Also, all of the printed letters and numbers are smudged too (see photos). As for actual usage, well, using the wires from the Elegoo starter kit, they fit snugly in the first board but with these boards, they are quite a bit looser. Not really sure what has happened since I got the first board back in August. Quite disappointed.
