Microsoft FMM-00001 Type Cover for Surface Pro - Black

Original keyboard, great quality. Just a small crash in the corner, but it's ok for the price

Howdy i've had 2 of these before this one. I bought two when i first got the device just encase i lost one or broke one. One broke after a year because i left it under something heavy and the mouse back wouldn't bounce back after clicks. The 2nd one just broke after 5 years of use because I accidently let it rub against the wall while carrying the device improperly. I was upset and it was my fault both times. I was a little afraid to buy this as i saw reveiws that said they got old ones or damaged ones. The one i got was in original packaging and never before opened. It smells brand new as well. I felt all the keys as the felt more responsive than my old one, and the track pad seems to be working just fine. No hidden dirt of smears i can see. The only scuffing was on the packaging i feel this has been on a shelf some where for a year or something. I'll update this if anything comes up.

This is a review for the 'Ice Blue' keyboard. For starters it looks great but it's the functionality that made me give it 5 stars. Two finger scrolling w the touch pad is a breeze, the keys r sharp and responsive, luminescence is excellent, the Alcantara is durable and easy to keep clean, despite looking the same as the previous gen there is a noticeable improvement. It feels more solid, better responsiveness and connecting/disconnecting from my Surface Pro is seamless (it just works). Additionally, despite looking and feeling luxurious/expensive, the MS SP typecover keyboards r extremely durable. They hold up to punishment, coffee/water spills and extended use. Quality product and worth the price. Another thing that separates the MS typecovers from others is their impact on battery, it's negligible...

Like all type covers the red one is very good in practical use. Key travel is sufficient, it is near silent when laying flat on the desk, one can type very fast and the minimal flex actually helps to to make your fingers fly. Ergonomically a larger trackpad would be desirable, but this is the only thing I can really complain about for such a small laptop. Typing experience is much better then the iPad type covers, although they are also surprisingly good to. The alcantara fabric looks fancy and nice to touch. However, it is also harder to keep clean. I owned the gray signature cover before and replaced it with this red one after 3 years, because the gray one became dirty at the palm rests and impossible to clean. Technically it was perfectly ok! But because of the great experience I got this new one in a darker color. If you are in doubt between a normal and the alcantara version, opt for the alcantara for a beautiful and comfy product and the normal one if you prefer easy cleaning or the looks of you keyboard after several years. Btw., I ordered the US layout version on Amazon US from Japan and it arrived within 1 week and there are no additional tax or customs for this type of products. So it was much cheaper than in Japan and had the US layout.

I was uncertain to buy a surface in the first place, but now with the addition of the type cover black works just great, super light weight and perfect for travelling and small places. The color and new qwerty design works great, though having some trouble to get use to the size of the keyboard, having a little trouble to hit the backspace key when fast typing, other than that it is just a matter of time to get used to. Key typing is soft and less noisy than on a regular laptop. track pad works great specially if you use the Microsoft shortcuts to scroll down and minimize apps. Track pad buttons are a little noisy but I can live with it. This version has a backlit which is great when working overnight. Overall great option and price for an original type cover. Delivery said next day at 8AM and it was there as expected!!

It fit my Surface perfectly and works great!

Perfect for work

unlike knock offs, there is no separate mouse and need to turn keyboard on or off. I have a surface pro 7, and seller Emailed me before shipping to be sure that this was correct item. It was more expensive, but just what I wanted, with no hassles. It came 2 days early, and there was a personal note inside the box from the seller.

Great product. Timely delivered. Excellent quality

Easy to use Like the feel of this surface Got it it no time This product has been great my last one lasted me 2 years and I am a heavy user
