The diner was packaged nicely. I did however have an issue with a couple boards from the courier, but Melissa and Doug's staff provided me with excellent customer service and came through with a replacement just in time (gift for my grandson). I can't say enough wonderful things about this company! I was so grateful that they came through for me. The instructions are incredibly well written and correspond perfectly with the parts. It does take a bit to put together but is clearly worth it. My grandson (3 1/2 years old) has so much fun with it. I was so happy that I purchased a second one for my house for all our grandkids (ages 5, 4, 3 and 2) to play together- they all like it a lot) It's been a great addition to the playroom.

My grandchildren asked for this for Christmas. I ordered in October. When the box arrived it looked a little damaged and I inspected the best I could. Seemed like it was just the box. Daughter opened after Christmas to put together and it had broken pieces. Amazon would do nothing, even though we explained it was a gift. Daughter contacted Melissa & Doug directly - what an AWESOME company - they shipped her a new one! I will buy their products as often as I can to support them. Wonderful service!

Our daughter is almost 3 and loves the idea of a customer. 😂 This was the perfect Christmas gift. It took us about 2 hours to put together start to finish. The instructions are very easy to understand and everything came together well. It’s great quality and our daughter is obsessed with the coin/jukebox feature.The only thing I would recommend is purchasing a set of play food to go along with it since it doesn’t come with any. It’s a really fun gift and think we’ll get some years out of it.

At first, I was worried about it arriving broken as some people have stated but the price was so good, I took a chance and Im glad I did. It’s a month after Christmas and it’s still in great shape and me and the kids still play restaurants which they enjoy.

I got this on sale prior to Christmas through Amazon (MUCH less expensive than going directly through Melissa and Doug)It is adorable!!!! Took some time to put together but directions were clear. The two sided design works well and is so clever. It really doesn’t take up that much room. Be sure to order the Diner food kit that goes with it

(Revised Review) spoke to Amazon Customer Service about the damage and they came through wonderfully. A replacement was sent over the next day and I was encouraged to swapped out the damaged item with a good one from the new shipment. Then I just had to contact them to have the replacement picked up with the damaged piece. Simple and I love how they worked with me to provide options for a positive resolution.The final result of the playset is wonderful!(Original Review) Was so excited about this purchase even more than the kids I was going to assemble this for. However everyone’s hearts were broken when we discovered the seat panel was cracked all the way down the middle. Now they can’t enjoy the sit down diner portion which is the best part! And it’s frustrating since this was not a cheap item to begin.

I'm a pretty good shopper and I totally missed the fact that this doesn't come with any of the accessories shown. I'll have to buy those separately which will have them here late.
