I’ve been doing my own nails for 25 years now but started using gel products about 6 months ago. Having a good builder gel is a must have. I’ve gone through many different builder gels that end up getting too viscous and sloppy. But this right here is a winner for me. Not only is the formula great with the perfect texture, but the brush is more durable. Great quality all around. I even use the builder gel as glue for applying my artificial nails and they adhere so nicely and stay on for weeks. The top coat dries just 30 seconds under UV light. It gives a nice shine and my polish doesn’t peel.

oh this is such a game changer in taking gel polish off, I have even used it to take off regular sparkle nail polish off, and very happy with the performance. Will definitely be purchasing again. Always happy with products I get from Born Pretty

Is a great product, cures very well in 60 seconds under UV lamp, self leveling, durable and reliable. I use it a lot and I am impressed with the quality. See the growth on my nails and the gel still shiny no lifting just do the right preparation on the natural nail surface and will last over 21 days without damage or dulling.

Leaves a sticky film after curing, but that is easily fixed by wiping with rubbing alcohol. Not all of my LED lamps were able to cure this gel. Once it is cured and not sticky it is super shiny. Is easy to peel off if it is put on too thick.

Medium-thick viscosity that self-levels, so it brushes on smoothly for overlays or short extensions. The sheer pink looks clean on its own and under color. Cures evenly under LED/UV (about 60–90 sec per layer) and I haven’t seen lifting or chipping with normal wear. Doubles as rhinestone glue in a pinch. The 15 ml bottle has a decent brush, and filing/shaping after cure is straightforward. For removal, I file the top coat and soak—comes off without fuss. If you prep nails (dehydrate/primer), it bonds well. I recommend it.

1st review 1 out of 5-star rating 7/25/2025: Subject: I really wanted this to work… I’m so disappointed Review: This was so bad. The color was beautiful, although it seemed as though it was going to be shiny and a much pinker color, it was clearer than it was opaque. I didn’t put thick layers at all. They were nice and thin, but it still didn’t dry. So, although it was easy to apply, it didn’t actually work out. It never dried up; I placed it under the lamp for over 2 minutes and STILL nothing! I placed a topcoat and still nothing. I had to take alcohol wipes and remove the shine top layer because it just wouldn’t dry. WHY IS A UV GEL NOT DRYING UNDER A UV LAMP?!?! I tried asking and also with a topcoat but neither way did it work. This is horrible! I’m never giving this another try. 2nd review 4 out of 5-star rating 7/26/2025: Subject: DON'T FOLLOW THE MFG INSTRUCTIONS - This is how I got it to work!! Read this before you buy Review: I buffed my nails yesterday, added a nail dehydrator liquid, put a clear base coat and added the builder gel. Despite putting it back under the lamp over and over (altogether 5+ mins each hand) and it not curing properly last night, I had no other choice but to take alcohol wipes to remove the oily top layer slick that seemed to have interacted with the curing process and prevented it from truly hardening. Keep in mind that this had nothing to do with the amount of gel I applied at all. I put very thin layers. When I woke up this morning, I decided to use my "Orly Sec'n Dry" as my topcoat, since it always does wonders for any UV gel polish that I use. After only 90 seconds, it was nice and dry as always (Orly is such an MVP) and I got that luster and shine back. So, if you were thinking it was just you, it's not you! It's the company and their stupid instructions. But there is a way around it. I won't lie - my nails are stronger, and I can see how using a paper-thin brush to finish off the cuticle area as this company does in the Instagram videos can prevent this puddling effect it had on the sides. But for the first time, it is NOT BAD! I am still giving it 4 stars because I have seen so many of their Instagram videos and SHAME ON YOU for not using your platform to mention these things! I had to figure it out because there was just no way I was about to walk around with dull, buffed up looking nails all week. I'm glad that I didn't give up, but I AM NOT HAPPY with this company!!! They could do better!! I was stressed out for no reason, all because they didn't provide proper directions on how to use this product and I had to figure it out myself. Seriously, SHAME ON YOU!!!!! The first photo is from last night, and the last 2 photos are from this morning after fixing it with the topcoat and finishing it all off with cuticle oil. I hope someone reads this and I get to save them the time and frustration I had so that it can come out right for them the first time around and avoid the whole process of trial and error. 3rd review 1 out of 5-star rating 8/19/25: Subject: WASTE OF TIME I haven’t had the time to follow up but on day 3 the builder gel was chipped, flaking, and it clearly contains some chemical in there that my body rejected because it was literally ITCHING to come off… I tried everything to get this to work but it was a waste of my time and money! Don’t bother.

It is very thick, not easy to wipe excess off the brush back into the bottle before applying so this makes smooth application difficult. It remained tacky after going under the UV light 60 seconds a few times. I then applied a top coat and did the UV 60 seconds, the tackiness gone, and gel was dry to the touch. I will try it a second time. Before returning it.

I thoroughly enjoyed using Solid Nail Tips Gel. Its simplicity and ease of application were remarkable. There was no mess or stickiness, and only a small amount of product was required directly on the nail tip and pressed onto a prepped nail. This eliminated the need to clean up excess gel around the nail bed and skin. The Gel covered my nails perfectly, and I had no adverse reactions to it. (I had previously experienced issues with a specific popular product that I initially used, necessitating increased caution.) Applying nail tips has never been so effortless. The curing process under the lamp was flawless. It cures in a clear color. I am eager to explore nail art techniques with this product and intend to make a purchase again. However, there was a downside. After removing the lid and foil, I had to expel all the air to reach the Gel’s surface in the tube. Unfortunately, the tube was only partially filled with product. (My thoughts) This is disappointing. Did Born Pretty actually sell products in such a state? I considered returning the product, but I was hesitant to disrupt my nail set. (It would be beneficial if Born Pretty would stand behind this product and provide me with an alternative tube or some product.) I genuinely LOVE Born Pretty products. I have been using them for several months now and would recommend them to both beginners and professionals. I have attached photographs showcasing the amount of product I use to apply nails on a single tip. Also how full the tube was before I began my nails. I will share an updated photo of my nails after I am finish with my designs on them. ENJOY 😊
