Q: Can it detect fungus from ring work on furniture and bedding?

You can see a green glow which we are guessing are the same spores we see on the cats. You can also see where there has been an accident of urine or vomit - helps keep things clean and the family feeling more comfortable that the ringworm is "under control".

Q: What is the clear Thing inside the box? I am an esthetician and bought this woods lamp to look at skin. Where is the color manual ?

I do not recall the clear thing you speak of. To answer your second question the color code was not given in the packaging, but if you scroll pass the written description they do have pictures with the color code.

Q: Where can I get a black cover to shield light?

The only place the black light shows is from one side of the wand and it doesn't stay on. Just turn it on when need it and point it away from you. No shield is required.
