Helpful for my nervous guy
Works really well for my anxious aussiedoodle. He’s 20 lb.s so he gets one a day w/ the exception of 4 of July where he gets one earlier in the day then another one 8 hr.s later. I had some different ones that I got at the vets but they were more expensive & I didn’t see any noticeable difference so I’m sticking w/ these. He’s noticeably calmer and these are budget friendly.

Chill
These work for calm down time. They don’t make my dogs overly tired where I feel like I drugged them like some. My older girl has anxiety and she chills out. My young boy can’t chill out lol and does. I like these and the open farm the best.

Works Pretty Well
Short Version: Pup loves the taste, it works decently well. We have a 20 pound Shiba almost a year old. Based on her weight the recommended does is one treat, which has very little noticeable difference. It caaan make her more calm but she can still have big spurts of energy or craziness. Could be that her puppy excitement overpowers the treat. My brother come over once after we had given her a treat, and she went crazy, peeing on the floor from excitement. We tried two treats, monitored her carefully just in case and she was fine, but two treats is definitely much more effective. She is much calmer, more likely to nap too. She loves the taste of it too. Also the treat is pretty big but it does fit inside even a puppy sized Kong toy which was a plus for us.

Review Update
Update: ZESTY stood by their guarantee of their products without me even contacting them!! Way to go Zesty! Much appreciated your help. Added 3 stars for Zesty’s customer support! AAA Been giving my little anxious dog this product since I received it late November every single day with zero effect. It was just another treat that as of this morning she no longer wants to eat it. Just another waste of money!!! And there is NO return on it. So if you’re looking for something to calm your dogs anxiety this is not it.

Let me tell you a little story about how Zesty Paws Calming Bites helped my family and our beloved pups. I have a household of three humans, three dogs and two bearded dragons. Our dogs are as followed: Aspen our eight year old German Shepherd, Reilley my six year old German Sheperd/Rotti mix, and then the main character to this tale, Ava, my mom’s Catahula Cur/Pitbull mix. I adopted Ava for my mom after our oldest dog of sixteen years had to be put down. Ava was a little ball of energy but that was to be expected with her two breed make up. She was shy around the other two at first, but then she fit right in as if she was always meant to become part of our family. It was about a month or so into Ava living with us that tragedy struck. What we did not know is that Ava had been previously abused with her collar making her terrified and panic when a collar is placed over or being taken off her head. When this happens, she goes into pure horror and distress that she starts screaming like nothing I have ever heard. Well one day this happened and in all the commotion I believe Reilley thought she was hurting my mom and went after Ava. After we got them separated we knew that we could not just have them together as if nothing happened. So we consulted our vet who suggested reintroducing them slowly over a period of time. This was fine for a few days for my mom had a small vacation, but then the problem came up that the dogs would be home while everyone in the house was at work. Our vet suggested try either a crate or get a baby gate and place her into a room where she is most comfortable and feels safe. This would be my mom’s room since every night she goes to bed and sleeps right next to my mom. So this is what we did while slowly starting to reintroduce them. They could see each other through the gate and get acquainted with each others scent once more and be supervised while outside. Things seem to be going well until we found out that once everyone was back at work, Ava had extreme separation anxiety from my mom. She would dig holes through her mattress, ripping out the foam and even the springs. Tear up blankets and sheets to shreds and also bit and crack the wood part of my mom’s box spring. It had gotten so bad that no noise (such a music or a tv on for her), toys or clothes that smelled like my mom could help calm her down once we left. We were running out of options because we did not want to crate her. This is when I consulted my veterinarian and she suggested getting Ava either on medication she prescribed or trying some calming treats online. I have never heard of calming treats and being a kid straight from college with her first job, I was trying to save as much money as possible while still giving my animal the best care. I read a lot of reviews on so many different products when I finally came across Zesty Paws and their Calming Bites. Once they came into the mail I let Ava get used to them over the weekend and also wanted to see how they would affect her while everyone was home. I cannot thank you enough for this amazing product. Ever since getting these treats, Ava’s anxiety and over all hyper active ness has softened to the point where we are even able to leave her home overnight if need be. She is also not tearing up her toys into little tiny pieces and overall is a happier pup. They especially help when I take her one car rides for she doesn’t get car sick anymore. These treats worked amazingly for Ava and I know every dog is different and takes to medicine in different ways, but these bites really work. She loves the flavor too so that is a plus!

Mild calming affect
Got these for two of my boys who recently decided they were going to fight like outside alley cats. One will not eat, turns his nose to them. Other loves them. Only give two a day as I only want to calm him down, he is the one that ends up on bad side of the encounter. He is much calmer when he hears other cat. Don't think will keep them from fighting but does calm the nerves of the less aggressive of the two.

They work
They seem to be working. My dog has trouble sleeping through the night, so he gets these at bed time. They are working, I got him the puppy ones before these and I actually think they worked a little better (the puppy ones), but he is sleeping so I can't be too upset.
