Great, Just A Lil' Big
I really love this loop. I like the material, the quality is great, and the fact that I can quickly swap it to any belt I want. I am using this since a couple weeks and I find myself more often now just ditching the tool belt and just carry the hammer with this loop when I work stationary on the ground. I wish the loop would be more narrow or even better somehow adjustable. Other than that it's perfect. Five stars from me. I hope this helps to make a decision.

Super beefy Hammer holder
Diamondback 406 Hi-Rider Hammer Loop - Modular Hammer Holder for Tool Belts - Side or Rear Carry Hammer Holster for Belt - Tool Belt Hammer Holder for Mallet, Ball Peen or Claw - 3.25"x3"x4", BlackNot that it's a bad thing, but I saw one reviewer describe this as the most overbuilt nylon tool holder they had ever seen and I have to agree. This thing is beefy. I feel like I could pull my truck with it. Even though it is built tough, it's not too heavy or too large. My hammers slide in and out of it easily and once they are in, I don't have to worry about them falling out.For a nylon hammer holder, it's a little expensive, but I think it's worth it. This thing will last a very long time.

High quality hammer loop
This may be the most over built nylon tool holder I have ever used and it is great. I am using this with a 2.5" leather belt and I prefer a modular setup so I can just slide on or attach the pouches and holders I need for a specific project. The nylon loop is very stiff making it easy to slide in my wood handle framing hammer and the handle sways a little less when climbing ladders compared to the old metal loop hammer holder I used to use.My only issue has been the rubber handle on one of my hammers does slide in as smoothly, otherwise this has been a major upgrade over the cheap hammer holders most people use.

High quality
Excellent quality of construction. Holds the hammer more securely than metal ring loops. I prefer this style if I’m going to be highly active.

Really light weight, Incredibly durable!
This hammer holster is really light weight, but incredibly durable! The loop opening has rigidity of it's own, and although flexible, stays open. It attaches to your belt with hook & loop straps that fold tightly around the back of the belt and fits on a 2" tool belt. This holster holds your hammer up high unlike many other options. Although it works with pretty much any hammer, it works best for hammers with smooth wooden or fiberglass handles rather than rubber/grippy handles because the wooden handles slide more freely against the synthetic canvas material that this is made from. It's a good high-waisted hammer holster, and can be used on pretty much any 2" tool belt.

Built very well with quality components
When I researched the Diamondback name/products I found out that their products are robust, well designed, made from quality components and made in the USA. Due to all of that they are not cheap products, but they will last a long time since it’s a quality product.Prior to ordering this hammer loop I wanted to know the size of the belt loop and I couldn’t find it anywhere. Well it’ll easily fit a 2 1/2” belt and a 3” belt if you work at it (see photos). The belt loop is velcro and wraps around the belt, connecting on the backside of the belt. My normalClaw hammer and my larger framing hammer both fit in the hammer loop (not at the same time) and felt comfortable wearing it, but everyone will have their own opinions. The military-grade 1000D nylon is definitely tough and will standup to a lot of abuse. There’s also some padding underneath the nylon to put a little distance between the hammer head and you.The hammer loop I received did look a little different then their photos, the Diamondback label is on the outside of the hammer loop vice the top, which doesn’t make any difference at all.

Easy to use and comfortable
I've been using a metal hammer hook for a long time now and while it's effective, it does tend to dig into my side throughout the day. The Diamondback 406 Hi-Rider Hammer Loop is WAY more comfortable and doesn't dig in at all but still is easy to slip my hammer into and out of. It also fits my belt really well. I tend to wear a really thick leather belt and one of my favorite features is that I can put this loop onto my belt without having to completely take my belt off. The hook and loop closure on this loop are easy to wrap around my belt really securely. Overall I'm just thrilled with the Diamondback hammer loop.

Super handy
It's a very nice sturdy and well made Hammer holder. Pretty much standard for how you mount it to a belt. I'm very pleased with it and am impressed with how well made it is
