Much better
I purchased this toilet over a year ago, to replace the one that came with our travel trailer. The seal had broken in the toilet and the flush pedal was sticking, causing the water to constantly run - especially when our bulldog would fall asleep with his head on the pedal. It had to go. After searching through all of the options on Amazon, I ended up ordering the Aqua magic high profile toilet, with hand flush. The hand flush was exactly what we were looking for. No more worries about the dog pushing the peddle and causing a constant flow of water. It's conveniently located on the back side (on your left while sitting on the potty). What I didn't expect, but absolutely love, is the water pressure. Unlike my old RV toilet, when you flush, the bowl pretty much cleans itself. My old one would sorta just dribble, which meant yucky messes that constantly had to be cleaned. Not the case with the Aqua Magic toilet. Less time scrubbing a toilet is definitely a win!Because it's an RV toilet, it's incredibly light weight. I don't know what kind of sorcery the manufacturer used, but they somehow also made it very sturdy. You'd think something made of plastic wouldn't have stability but it does!Installation was a breeze. Hubby installed it in about 10 minutes. It's very straight forward and everything you need is in the box.I'd definitely recommend this RV toilet. A++

It was time for a new toilet !
Bought this to replace an old Aqua-Magic IV in our 1996 camper trailer. Got tired of having to take the toilet apart to replace flush valve , and the toilet lid/cover hinge was broke on on side , the flush/dump gate valve/door would sometimes not close all the way. And there was a slow leak when flushing. So I researched and got the Aqua-Magic V high profile. I like the fact that you don’t have to take the toilet apart to replace the flush valve and because of the placement of the toilet in our bathroom and the fact that I remodeled the bathroom taking out the shower/tub and putting in a shower floor pan, I can change the flush valve without even removing the toilet from the floor. We already had the Thetford toilet riser and decided to use it too. With the high profile toilet and the riser it is about a 20 inch seat height. You will need to extend or get a longer water line. My wife is going to need hip surgery and I will eventually be needing knee surgery so we both love the height. Camped for three days with no problems. Seems to flush better than the old Aqua-Magic IV and we like the one flush handle operation. The seat is the same as the old Aqua-Magic IV and although the seat is smaller than a our residential toilet seat, when comparing the opening it is the same in width and actually slightly longer in length. No complaints.

So far, holding up well in our outhouse
So, this is apparently an RV toilet, but we have a camp where an older one of these units was installed by the previous owners. I really like the idea of having an actual toilet instead of a, um, hole, but I also wanted to have one not previously used and abused. We found this one, ordered it for this season, got it very promptly, and my husband installed it without issue. We've just been through 10 days in the last week with 3 to 8 people using it regularly, and we haven't had any issues. It flushes well and cleans up well, and, for an outhouse, is quite pleasing. It's comfortable and this unit is actually the high-profile style, which we didn't have before, which we like. I do wish the plastic was just a tad more sturdy, as far as the cover goes, but we'll see how it does over the rest of the season, through fall, over the coming winter, and into next year. For the price, however, I don't think you can beat it.

Check inside the box before you take out the old one!
UPDATE: Parts arrived and the installation was very easy. This toilet isn't as solid as the older model but so far, it's working well. I very much like the hand flush as compared to the foot pedal. The added height is great but it complicates the install. You will either have to fabricate a small connector or cut a hole in the panel where the water comes in so that you can get the angle right between the water inlet and the toilet connector. BUY THE RING AND BOLT SET! BOX DOESN"T INCLUDE THEM!No. It does NOT include the parts. The only thing in the box is a toilet and their pamphlet. My bad for not checking before I removed the old toilet. Now, I'm stuck on a Saturday with no water and no toilet, waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive. Good times. IF the parts had been in the box, the swap out would have been very easy. I read the question and answers before I ordered. One of the questions specifically asked if it was a complete set-up. Their answer was yes. I'm here with their product and I'm telling you . . . don't believe them! Buy the bolts and the whatever you call it . . . the round do-hickey that goes in the bottom. I'm too pissed off right now to care. Also, if you had the lower model and are switching to the taller one, you are going to have to fabricate a part to fill the small gap of height difference.

When ya gotta go, this is the best!
My husband and I live in a 32' 5th wheel in Northwest Montana. The Thetford pedal flush toilet that came with the 5th wheel had seen its share of crap and the cable connecting the pedal to the flapper-thingy broke. We went to our local RV dealer, where we purchased said 5th wheel, and they were more than happy to sell us another cable dohicky to the tune of about $45. Well, less than a week later, that one started to break. Now, we all know crap is supposed to roll downhill, but it does this much better when there is a nice rush of water to help it along. Without going into too much detail (you can thank me now) it was getting rather bothersome to yet again have to block the flapper thingymabobber open and then use the shower head to flush said crap down the hole.... Amazon saved the day! And our butts and backs. This toilet is much taller, super easy to flush, sturdy, and nice looking to boot. I don't feel like we're flushing money down the drain with this one. Great price, quick shipping. Would order another one if we had room for it!
