OK as a fan but not as an evaporative cooler
The evaporation surface area (the screen over which water flows and evaporates) is too small to produce noticeable cooling. A medium to large box fan with four (left, right, top, rear) sides as evaporative surfaces should fare much better. Also, remember that evaporative cooling works best during low humidity conditions (relative humidity <50%).As a fan it seems to be fine. The noise level is low, and the airflow is adequate. But to accommodate the cooling components, it is bulkier than comparable fans. Even if you don't use the evaporative cooling feature, you would probably still need to clean the dirt that will accumulate over the screen. Cannot comment on long-term durability.

Works great but light went out
Unit works great but the cooling light went out. We won’t know if it’s set to fan only or cool without getting up and checking the water.

Doesn't work like I expected, based on the information.
It did not have adequate instructions, so I was not sure where or how to add the "ice bottles". There is a reservoir for water, which also has the pump, hose and some weird white brackets that did not work with anything. The whole premise of this product was that it would blow cold air which it did not. The fan itself barely blew any air, and in order for a fan to cool, it must blow a certain velocity. I've done more research and decided there are much better products out there. They cost a bit more, but if they work it will be worth it. I will not pay $100 or any amount for something that does not work as advertised!

IT LEAKS!!
Set it up and had it running in my kitchen. It leaked all over my hardwood floor. I didn't notice right away so I now have damaged floors! I reset it up and have been watching it closely. It is leaking. Do not buy this product. I broke down the boxes. Hoping I can still return it.
