It is built very well and does exactly what it needs to perfectly
I bought this converter to power a small project for a living memorial I created for my best friend. Upon arrival, I inspected the quality of the device and it honestly blew me away, it is extremely well put together and barley pulls any power from the 12v 6ah battery I have it connected to. Required for C5 corvette radio upgrade.
If replacing the factory radio in a C5 vette, you need this to trigger the amplified antenna

Works Fine
I've bought several of these for various projects over the last few years. They work fine and have given me no trouble. I have not put a scope on one to check power quality (ripple / noise) but it's good enough to power MCUs and not have them glitch out.

Uses very little power when idle.
Works great. Idle current is very small.

Output not in tolerance - two units
5V output was 5.4V on two units (out of spec). First unit had 5.4V, then started to output the input voltage during testing (!!!). Got replacement unit. It also output 5.4V. Not waiting to see if it fails - sending it back for refund.
