Great out of the package plug and play.
I was able to connect this to my Integrated Development Environment (IDE) right out of the package. I connected and programmed this controller on the first try. It couldn't be easier. Highly recommend this NodeMCU variant for your project.

Good Little Dev Boards; Check the Title, not the "color" for the count you order
These ESP8266 boards are nice little development boards. I have been wanting to play with the ESP series of boards for a while just to see what kind of things I can make with them. I am planning on taking a few commercial products that I own and tapping into their signals and electronics to connect them all together using these dev boards. I already had most of the software installed and the instructions for many different projects can be found by searching for "ESP8266" in your favorite search provider. Many tutorials exist and from what I can tell, these are some of the latest versions of the 8266. The ESP32 is more capable, but the 8266 will do many of the same things, just slower.I took of a star from the review for the sole purpose that the "color" I selected said this was a listing for 5 pieces of this board. Title of the listing said 3 pieces. I honestly didn't know which to trust so I went with the "color" option hoping to get 5 pieces. 3 will work for my purposes, but I wanted a couple of spares in case I fry one during my experimentation.

THESE ARE THE WRONG SIZE
I purchased this breakout board for an important project, but my progress has been significantly delayed because of a critical design flaw. The header rows are positioned way too close to each other, making it almost impossible to connect components properly. This issue was not mentioned in the product description, which led to frustration and wasted time.I expect better from a seller providing technical products like this. Their lack of attention to detail has caused unnecessary setbacks in my project, and I would not recommend this item for anyone looking for a reliable breakout board

Nice little boards
It took a little bit of doing but I was eventually able to flash these over to micropython. All of the challenges were on my side: 2 cords didn’t work, needed to update my drivers, thonny flash settings needed to be changed from default. There isn’t any documentation sent with these boards but there is plenty of information online to reference. I was able to get some basic programs running after getting micropython installed on them. I’m still pretty new to this space so these were a cheap way to learn. Glad I got them.
