Ignorance is not bliss!
It is not what you do not know that is a danger, but that which you know for sure but is false is deadly. Fortunately Newton has allowed us to rationalize our world, day to day, but unfortunately not to understand our ignorance. This book and its companion are difficult, but wonderful and the course of study from which they stem elevate the word"introductory" to heights those whose talents have not allowed matriculation to the likes of Yale and its brethren can only imagine.

interesting cosmology book
The subject is well-covered, but the form is not like a text book, which I believe is the main use of the book. The writing style is chatty, conversational, which sometimes doesn't work well. The subject matter in chapters is not broken down further, with headings, which would make study easier.I think that the standard textbook form would work better for students. This book is fine for a reader interested in astronomy.
