Since you didn't specify whether you're looking at the 4 ft. blowpipe or the 5 ft. blowpipe, I can't really say what 'this' is. But I can tell you that the 4 ft. blowpipe is the heavier wall tube and the 5 ft blowpipe is the thinner wall tube.

Q: How large of an animal will this put down?

With extremely good accuracy and skill with this blowgun, you could take down game as large as a deer, however this is something I would not attempt unless you were very very adept and it was legal. For me I wouldn’t shoot anything large than a crow or squirrel.

I don't know if the .357 will shoot .40 cal darts, but given the measurements, I would guess and say no because of the size; I own a Cold Steel .357 and .625, as far as I know, these are the only two blowguns sizes that Cold Steel makes.

As long as it’s not a Pro version, yes. You can expect around a 9 fps (for 5’ blowgun) to 16 fps (for 4’ blowgun) velocity increase.

The product was opened and retaped. 5 broad head darts were missing. Product looks original and new. Very powerful impact.
