Beautiful tongs, but keep an eye on them at potlucks!
I absolutely love the OXO brand, and these serving tongs are fantastic—especially if you host or attend a lot of potlucks. They look so sleek and professional that I’ve honestly had people mistake them for church catering tools, or "forget" they weren't theirs and try to take them home! I primarily use these for serving rather than heavy cooking, though you easily could use them for both. Pros: Very high-quality look and feel; perfect for serving guests. Sturdy and durable. Dishwasher Safer Great Value Money Spent. Cons: They do not have a locking mechanism to stay closed. If you are just using them for serving at a table it isn't a big deal, but it's worth noting for storage.

Nice quality & good looking, clean and honest.
OXO very seldom disappoints, and this is no exception. We bought these for serving salad at the table, including with guests/good dishes. They are very honest and clean looking - they go well with our good stainless flatware. We're happy.

Our new salad tongs
I purchased two other OXO tongs for cooking. These are strictly for salads. Typical, excellent OXO quality.

Less is more
Works as expected and looks nice. I got this to replace the plastic one that looks like scissors and kept breaking as well as the one with the hinge at the bottom that gets loose over time.

Tongs that won't fall apart!!
So many stainless steel tongs have an aluminium rivet on the hinge. That fails after a while, especially if you toss them in the dishwasher (caustic environment disolves the aluminium over time). This one is a one piece tong, with nothing to wear or fail. Hoping that they last a long time. So far, very happy with the purchase.
