Good bow stringer
Got this for my 38#m 68" AMO recurve bow. Construction of the stringer is good I have used these for years and they hold up. I like the tip stringers because they put maximum bend in the limbs with the least effort and makes stringing easy compared to over the limb stringers, especially as bow wt goes up. One has to be careful to seat the tip carefully in the leather pouches and with time this becomes easier. Altho this is listed for use with a 70 inch bow there is only a small distance from the stringer to my string on my 68 inch bow. This means you really have to bend over and be sure to not step on your string instead of the stinger- well it isn't rocket science but not sure but that this would be even tighter for a 70 inch bow. I have other Bateman leather archery products and have been satisfied with them and this stringer works well. I would recommend it.__________ updateAfter nearly 3 yrs and numerous stringing and unstringing mine is finally ready for replacement. I am buying another one of these, they are great still love them.

Good stringer for the price overall but minor pocket nitpicks
This stringer has fairly quality leather and string, and does well with traditional longbows and recurves. The step-through is pretty large. The only thing that really keeps this bow stringer from 5 stars is that the pockets are somewhat shallow (not a huge deal but you do need to check the fit when stringing) and that the pockets of the stringer itself are less than well marked for upper and lower limb (they are VERY similar looking to an untrained eye).

Good stringer, but not great.
Right off the bat, the leather used in this stringer is pretty good. Unfortunately though, I have issues making the smaller end stay on sometimes. The string is strong nylon which you'll never have to worry about. It'll take some breaking in for the leather (tough as all get out at first) before it'll fit comfortably, but like I said before, the smaller end has some issues sometimes. Been stringing a 68" longbow.

Works just fine, but the instruction page on how to use it was confusing with the color orange. Had to go to a bow shop far away to find out how to use it.

The String Thing
Dont take chances, buy this. I does a great job, and it's plenty long. Doing it the wrong way, can screw up your limbs, twisting them.It can also be dangerous. If the end of the stringer slips off the tip of the limb, the limb can spring up and hit you in the face with alot of force. This has deep pockets for the limb tips. The photo doesn't show it, but they are reinforced with stiching. You should be able to use this for years.

Decent quality. The smaller side is very tight but it works. Instructions are garbage. Youtube it to see what you need to do.

Works well, but can slip off the bow. The pockets need to be deeper and for some bows maybe even a little wider.

It works
First bow stringer. It works. The small pocket felt a little small and had to open the pockets some before being able to use it
