I’ve never received a hand written thank you card for buying a product on Amazon till now. Jenny, I appreciate it and was pleasantly surprised when I got the card in the mail. It feels good knowing one genuinely appreciates the business and I’d gladly repeat feeling like the support would be excellent.So the reality is that I haven’t needed the support for any reason. The product came packaged nicely and although it has many functions, they all work well. All of the ports work as advertised. I was particularly impressed with the micro SD slot which is spring loaded for an easy eject. I’ve occupied both USB ports with hard drives and a Wacom tablet simotaneously with great functionality. I believe a review mentioned it gets hot and it hasn’t been the case, even with the power cord attached to the usb c. It gets warm, but definitely not hot. This is the only “dongle” I’ve owned so I have nothing to compare it with, but I would buy this again and recommend it to anyone whom was in the market for one.Cons... well aesthetically it isn’t 100% flush with my 15” MacBook Pro, but it’s honestly about 90% it looks good and I can be admittively obsessive at times. The only other con would be that it locks into place by plugging into both usb c connections on one side (it fits on both sides). The reason this is a con is because it feels slightly vulnerable and does have a slight wiggle, only up and down, when plugged in. This is the nature of its flush look design and would probably need to grip the entire side of the laptop on top and bottom for it to not be this way. I’ll take the sleek design as a good trade off for this.For the price, I’d say this is a good deal overall. I actually bought this based on numerous hours of searching reviews and the speed tests in some of those reviews showed that this was a top contender. That plus the aesthetics made me buy and I haven’t ever felt unsatisfied at any point in the last couple months of heavy use. It has worked every time the way I’ve needed it to and I’m now thankful knowing I’ve supported a domestic small business.

I had purchased the Charjen Premium USB-C hub previously. At the time, I was looking for the what turns out to be this adapter (the Premium Macbar Adapter +) but before it came out. I needed the HDMI connector and the the hubs / adapters I could find at the time were either not available or not rated well. So…I have been happily using the usb hub from Charjen without a problem, my only issue with the dongle one was that when I needed my MacBook as a actual laptop and needed a usb drive or such, the dongle was inconvenient just hanging off the Mac.So when I saw this adapter came with the HDMI connector, I took the chance and purchased it. So far it is what I have been looking for. It is narrower and smaller than the dongle model, the HDMI connector is off the back which works well for me. It goes on either side of the Macbook pro and does not protrude below the Mac when on either side, It fits securely and when I am using my Mac as an actual laptop, it is sits off to the side and is pretty solid and does not dangling off the edge like the dongle one. All the ports seem to work just fine as they did with the dongle. The USB ports are set far enough apart where I can use some of my wider USB flash drives in one port and not block the other USB port for a cable or narrow flash drive. It has been warm to the touch but not hot. So far, this is the adapter I have been looking for, sense I got my MacBook Pro.

I purchased this product because I needed the basic connectors for uploading photos, connecting to external displays, and using an external mouse. It has two USB ports, which I thought was absolutely necessary, and it also has a micro and normal SD card slot (which some other models didn't have).I felt that it was just the right balance of having the ports I would use most, while leaving out the ones that I would probably never use. It matches up to the computer color, sort of. It's definitely not a match, but doesn't look too bad. I think that compared to the other models I considered, this one was a good price, it's solid, and it looks nice. It's not bulky and it connects just like it should.Overall, a good buy and I am happy with it, even after paying a little more than some of the other options, because it does what I need and looks alright, too.

Given how relatively inexpensive this little hub is compared to other, similar products from other manufacturers, I had low expectations. That said, I believe that this little guy is terrific, and a great bargain in the marketplace. It enables me to easily and very reliably burn CDs and DVDs (which I still have occasion to do) by connecting the 2 USB connectors of my burners to the hub. (I had found it hard to get a solid connection to the burner using USB-B to USB-C adapters.) Although I haven't yet had occasion to use the SD card reader function, it has worked flawlessly with a video projector via the HDMI input port. And the all aluminum construction seems very solid.The only downside, as others have noted, is that I have to remove the bottom half of my MBP's hardshell protection case in order to use the hub, because it must sit absolutely flush with the edge of the computer to be fully connected. It's a minor inconvenience given how useful this item is.One thing you cannot tell on the Amazon website is how tiny and light this hub is. It slips easily and unobtrusively into my laptop bag.This thing is a pleasure and I highly recommend it if you need the kind of port flexibility that I do.

Before I was using this item on my old MacBook Pro 15 inches (mid-2017) and now I'm reusing it on my new MacBook Pro 16 inches (2019), and it fits and works perfect. So it was a very good investment.

Passt auch beim Macbook Air, obwohl der Hub hinten minimal übersteht und die Farbe in Spacegrey nicht ganz übereinstimmt. Über dies sieht man aber schon nach kürzester Zeit hinweg, da beides weder stört noch großartig auffällt. Diese lückenlose/kabellose Idee der Erweiterung lässt einen insgesamt schnell darüber hinweg sehen, dass sie eigentlich nicht dazu gehört, da ja auf weitere Kabel und „Herumgebaumsel“ verzichtet wird.Ich muss tatsächlich aber sagen, dass ich das An- und Abdocken von USB-A Geräten etwas schwergängig finde. Beim Anstecken muss ich recht viel Druck aufwenden und beim Rausziehen ebenfalls (mit der gleichzeitigen Sorge, den Hub nicht komplett rausziehen), ggf. legt sich dies mit einer längeren Nutzungszeit aber auch. Der Hub selber lässt sich auch sehr schwer vom Mac entfernen - was natürlich irgendwie für den bombenfesten Sitz spricht. Ich habe schon überlegt, ihn dauerhaft dran zu lassen, denn Thunderbolt, USB-C und USB-A funktionieren wie versprochen gut und schnell (ob die versprochenen 40 Gbit/s bzw. 5 Gbit/s eingehalten werden können, habe ich bisher aber nicht überprüft), auch parallel. HDMI und SD-Card habe ich aktuell nur getestet, aber auch da gab es keine Probleme (obwohl die SD verkehrt herum mit der Abbildung nach unten eingesteckt wird).Der Hub wird über beide Thunderbolt-Ports angeschlossen, was vermutlich die hohe Datenübertragungsrate sowie den festen Sitz ermöglicht. Nachteilig ist dadurch natürlich, dass der Hub weder am iPad Pro noch an anderen PC-Laptops mit USB-C verwendet werden kann. Doch dies ist auch das geringste Problem. Es gibt viele Billigvarianten, die nur über einen Port laufen und dementsprechend schlechtere Leistungen und unsicheren Sitz aufweisen. Dies erklärt wahrscheinlich auch den etwas höheren Preis als bei anderen USB-Hubs.Ich bin trotz der (aktuell noch) schwergängien USB-A Ports und dem minimalen Überstehen/Farbunterschied sehr zufrieden mit dem USB-Hub. Er macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und ich gehe davon aus, dass ich lange mit ihm glücklich sein werde.

A fuir ! Ce hub/adaptateur soit disant premium ne fonctionne déjà plus au bout de 4 mois d'utilisation modéré. 75 euros le hub pour seulement 4 mois cela fait chère ! j'ai contacté le vendeur pour remplacement ou remboursement, mais aucune réponse.

J'utilise ce Hub dès que je suis en déplacement avec mon MacBook Pro 2018. Il est compact, design et dispose de toute la connectique nécessaire dès que je suis chez un client :- 2 ports USB 3 rapides, et avec une puissance suffisante pour recharger mon téléphone et brancher mon iPad Pro que j'utilise comme deuxième écran (merci Duet Display pour ceux qui ne connaisse pas) ou brancher une souris.- 1 port HDMI 4K idéal pour les présentations- Lecteurs de carte micro SD / SD- Les deux ports USB-C (un thunderbolt 3 et un USB-C classique) sont très pratiques pour brancher vos divers dongles (Ethernet, display port...)En bref un Hub USB-C de qualité, indispensable à tous vos déplacements !------Si mon commentaire vous a été utile, dites-le-moi en votant, ca me permet d'améliorer mes comptes rendus ! :)
