Absolutely necessary!
I was tired of opening the air fryer to find that it needed washed. These liners are perfect! They go into the dishwasher great. My only complaint is that sometimes it takes a good scrubbing to get them clean.

So glad I bought these!
I wanted to get liners for my Instant Pot 4 qt. air fryer so that I didn't have to wash the portion you put the food in over and over again. I searched Amazon, looked at countless items for sale, read reviews, etc. and decided on these. I was a little leery as there were not tons of reviews on these but the price for 4 liners was a great deal and I'm so glad that I got them. So far, they have held up well, they are easy to wash by either hand or in the dishwasher (I've done both with great results) and they have not stained or melted at all. I wished they were slightly thicker but they are a great addition to an air fryer and I'm happy with my purchase.Updated to say that one of my silicone liners did stain very badly due to me cooking salmon in it (nothing else). It is still usable but not very pretty to look at. I'm still happy with my purchase but I will be sure to put a different type of liner (parchment paper?) inside of the liner to avoid my other 3 silicone liners having the same fate.

Yup. A Great Addition to a 6QT Air Fryer/Baker
Easy to use; fairly easy to clean (let soak in soapy water for a while, then hand dry).
