I am looking for hydrometer to test on whisky... will this work?

Had to return mine, it was off when sitting in distilled water: about 10% off!

This works great!

Works exactly like it is advertised and gave me a great proof reading. The plastic covers work as the cylinder for testing and is plastic to make it less likely to break. I see people here saying it doesn't have one but it does. I use it just fine. I hope that helps someone. The plastic graduated cylinder only measures to 160 Proof and is only 8 inches long. I had to buy another one for like 8 bucks to measure above 160 proof, which I need to do....

Looks like good quality

I haven't had a chance to use the item yet, but can't wait to get my first batch done and see where the level is. I will rate again after I use.

Deceptive "3 pack."

It is what it says it is and it does what it says it does however the "3 pack" that shows on the first picture is misleading.
