Adjustable Captain Hats-Navy

I originally purchased the navy version of this hat - along with a half dozen other captain's hats of various prices to see which one I like the best for everyday and formal use. To my surprise, this inexpensive hat not only looks great, but is very comfortable. I have a navy dress suit with brass anchor buttons, and this hat goes great with it! In fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one, plus another in white. Usually people assume low price = poor quality, but not so with these beautiful captain's hats! To be honest though, I did replace the adhesive logo with a brass anchor pin which looks much better. Still, I wear it every day (blue in winter, white in summer) so I'd have to say I really like it!

I bought this for a costume and it works well for that purpose. It's not terribly comfortable and since the headband is made from cardboard covered in faux leather, I imagine it won't last long if I sweat on it much. The hat is adjustable with plastic pin things I haven't seen since the 80s. Velcro would have been better.My nickname is Capn so I probably would wear this more if I thought it would hold up to day to day wearing.I would buy again only if I needed it for a stage costume.

This hat was for my husband to wear as Skipper from Gilligan's Island at a Halloween party. It was decent quality, fit well and was a perfect addition to his costume. Everyone knew who he was supposed to be immediately, so if you are looking for a hat for that costume, this is the hat for you!

The shipment was on time, which I appreciated. But when I received the package, the hat was a little squished. The top part seeps down, and doesn't hold up very well. That was a little disappointing, but overall, it's an okay product.

Quite a cheap felling product for the price charged.
