I really enjoyed building this, I’m working on the second one now. So cute and detailed. They didn’t come in a fancy box and the instructions are one sheet. But this wasn’t a problem for me at all. I imagine that makes it more affordable, I appreciate the low price and value. I glue all of my micro builds now. TAMIYA quick setting extra thin cement(bought on Amazon also) I use it for the brick pieces, because it actually welds the plastic. And a super glue for the plants and flowers as I believe they are of a different plastic material.

I gave this as a gift. She loved it and said it was one of her favorites to assemble.

I spent a few hours a day, nearly everyday for at least a month working on this. I actually did enjoy the challenge of building this. I will admit to spending a lot of time rebuilding and rebuilding certain aspects of this. The trees are V E R Y unsteady. What I ended up doing is figuring out what pieces were extras ( a lot of extras but it some were very odd) and then using the extras to reinforce the trees. Remember these pieces are nano size (1/4 the size of a lego) so not made for someone unable to work with the teeny tiny pieces. I used kelly forceps a lot of the time. The directions also can be wonky (again I was spoiled by lego directions) but I was able to deal with it.

It's a good priced set, but there were some pieces that were defective. For example, the hair piece on one of the characters didn't fit because there was excess plastic on the bottom. And also I think the large cherry tree specifically doesn't hold its weight too well. If you mess up on something or if a lower branch falls off, it's very frustrating to put back together because of the small pieces. I would recommend getting tweezers and have a lot of patience.

I love the micro kits because the finished pieces take up lass space. I do not like the micro builds because the extra dexterity and care that is needed. I needed to step away a couple of times due to my hands needing a break. aging is no fun. This is a challenging build, but I knew this going in. I have done several botanical builds and even another cherry tree. I love the elegance of the cherry tree and enjoy seeing how the set comes together. The instruction booklet is large. The images of the pieces are sometimes larger than the pieces themselves. The pieces you are adding are shown in color. The completed pieces are all in a blue grey color. a few times I questioned where pieces should go. In hindsight, the instructions were very clear, the mistakes were definetely human error. I also know the value of a bit of glue for those pieces that I seem to consistently knock off. There is no shame in gluing what you do not intend to take apart. I am really glad I put the time and effort into this lovely piece.

I was super excited to receive this set, until I opened the box! The pieces are very tiny. The directions are hard to follow. The lighthouse one is the worse of the 2! The pieces don't stay together and I have broke the tree over 20 times while putting it together. My fingers were sore after putting this together. The flowers did not fit the stems either. Do not buy! I recommend searching for a different set with some bigger pieces. I can fit the bottom piece in the palm of my hand!
