And even though the book cover is in full color, the inside is simply black & white. The photographs are...some are decent grayscale and others look like they were taken on an ancient smartphone. I expected more from the printed book. Hence, Buyer Beware - you may be better off with the Kindle Edition assuming the author created a FULL COLOR Kindle version.The book content itself - outstanding. I REPEAT. OUTSTANDING. This is an excellent handbook even though its only 160pages. Mr. Sweeney clearly shares not only a Subject Matter Expert knowledge base and experience/expertise level, but also shares practical functional expertise. Reading this book changed my entire perception and understanding of silencers (suppressors, or whatever you may call them). Despite the quality of the printed book, in the end, this was money very well spent. LET ME REPEAT - THIS BOOK IS MONEY VERY WELL SPENT. The cost for a Suppressor is not a miscellaneous cost - it's an investment. This book in my opinion will save a lot of time, money, and effort by avoiding nearly all of the common & not-so-common mistakes & pitfalls that many will make when selecting and purchasing a suppressor, plus avoid damaging a suppressor due to misuse/abuse, improper installation, and/or incorrect choice.Is it worth the $14.97 spent (paper book)? While I'm not happy about the paper version, the knowledge is worth it. Is it worth the $10.95 Kindle Edition? ABSOLUTELY YES.EDITED 03/17/2018: I should have mentioned in the original review that I was considering fabricating my own silencers (as in professional grade) since I do have metal machining experience/expertise. Mr. Sweeney's book convinced me that there is a LOT more Art & Science and R&D behind this than I'm maybe willing to do. [And yes, for you Liberals, you CAN make your own silencers, as long as your appropriately register it (if required in Your State), assign it to one firearm, obtain your [approved] tax stamp, AND you do not sell, transfer, or give it, or possession of it, to anyone else.]

Short, indepth, easy read. Been involved with firearms for fifty years and found several very helpful takeaways while reading. In other words I learned a few things that I need to know.

Definitely not what I was hoping for. I was hoping it was something more along the lines of how to make them come end of days times. (Yes during regular world you need a stamp) however if you want to pay for the exact same info that you can find on line for free in a million places then this is the book for you.

Well written and very informative. I have read several of the author's previous books and articles, and he continues to get better. If you are planning to purchase a suppressor, or are just curious to learn more about them, then this is the only book you'll require.

Very informative. I've always like Patrick Sweeney's books. This one is no different. He breaks everything down so you can understand. I'm still debating on getting one for my AR. The $200 tax stamp is enough. Not to mention the $500+ for the suppressor. But I'll eventually get one. I can use the one for the AR 15 on my AR 15-22. So, that's a win/win for me.......Good book. Good information.

Great book, reasonably priced and way better than damn eBay!

Another great book by Sweeney that is carefully written and well organized. He keeps it at a level that is technically thorough, yet interesting, and adds a little humor throughout.
