Rhode Island Novelty 5.5" Lizards

Great look alikes, they fit on the lily pads perfectly, we are really having fun with them.

I ordered these geckos for my toddler, he’s 21 months now. We live in Hawaii so he sees lots of real geckos. Gecko was actually one of his first real words. He loves his geckos & likes taking them places. My person favorite is the green one, it looks so realistic. Would also be perfect to scare someone with lol. My son put some in my handbag & I found them at work. Having one on my desk scared my boss when she walked by lol.

I got these lizards after I read at least one reviewer say he uses it for his cat who always chases lizards and that the plastic is thick enough not to be dangerous. CAUTION: That is NOT accurate. My female cat isn’t huge and doesn’t often tear up toys. She doesn’t like most toys but does like chew toys, ie thick pony tail holders and a little lemon shaped chew toy made by catstages. She has leukemia and cats with FeLV often suffer dental problems so I look for chew toys when I can find them, but they’re so rare in the cat toy world. She also always wants to play with bugs and lizards who get inside but I save them from her grasp and set them outside. I thought this would be great for her but sadly, it’s a miss. I took one look at the feet and tails on these guys and knew it wasn’t safe, they’re so thin and the toes are tiny and sort of gummy. Still, I gave her one and supervised because of that review. When I set it down, she was immediately thrilled, but after abt 90seconds already had one of the feet off. I then cut off the feet and tail but still, she broke off a tiny bit. I had to take it away because these could easily cause a blockage if swallowed, and even though she doesn’t tear up her toys, she loves to chew and will try to swallow everything, even cardboard. So all I really managed to do was make my cat sad by taking her fun new toy away. Get for a kid, NOT A CAT.

I had to really into find these. These are the perfect size, life size compared to the native FL anoles and a pretty close match. They are a tough but flexible plastic not a jelly. Our cat loves to hunt and chase the lizards that get into the house and I try to rescue & release them when I can. So in searching I found these. I do a couple of different things with them. When she isn’t around or looking I will stick them to the wall in various places with a little gel museum tack stuff. Then she will randomly find them and go into full on hunt mode leaping to get them. The other thing I did was replace one of the feather birds on one of her wands with one and I do my best impression of a lizard running around and climbing etc until either I’m exhausted or she is. She loves to catch it, paw it and flip it off her cat tree then chase it. It’s tough enough that I don’t have to worry about bits being broken or chewed off tho if she were inclined, she could chew the tail off and probably the legs. I don’t leave them around unsupervised like other toys just in case. A whole bag of them is a lifetime supply. I guess the other thing you could do is prank your friends who have lizard phobia with them. Or maybe prank other lizards?

They look real enough for Boo the Tortie cat, and great rattle 🐍 snake hunter.

Got these for our cat to play with and he loves them. They are an excellent size, just slightly larger than the lizards we have running around outside. I do put them away after he's done messing with them as he likes to gnaw on them and I dont want him choking on any peices he might bite off.

These geckos are exactly like what we have running around inside rooms and outdoor verandah. We have a privacy wall built around our new pool and those lovely little critters will be stuck onto the right areas on the wall to make it a feature. Thankyou
