I installed this on a Camp Chef Explorer 2 burner camp stove. The instillation was super easy. The holes needed to mount the probes were already in place in the Camp Chef. All you have to do is mount the 2 probes with the supplied screws. The included bracket with the two screws and nuts made it a snap to mount the ignitor. Once the probes and ignitor are mounted all you have to do is plug in the 2 probe wires, add a AA battery, and start cooking. The probe tips may need bending slightly to point them at a hole in the burner and move them about 1/8" - 3/16" from the burner. This was a great addition to the Camp Chef.

Ordered this igniter for my camp chef explorer EX60LW two burner camp stove. The first one came and did not work. Amazon exchanged it and the second one works perfectly. I feel like I need to subtract a star because one out of two didn’t work. But I’m happy enough with the one that works that I’m still going to give 5 stars. One of my pet peeves when I’m camping is having my striker quit working on me. We always take several new ones just in case. Also, it’s annoying to have to always add a striker to the armful of stuff I’m carrying out the door to start cooking. My barbecue grill igniter just quit working on me so I’m extremely annoyed about that. You all know exactly what I’m talking about. If you’re on the bubble about purchasing one of these than you’re just like me. I finally pulled the trigger and I’m completely satisfied. You will be as well. I can’t give any info on longevity but in my experience with other igniters they usually last for years depending on how often you use it and how you take care of your equipment.

Installed this on my Campchef 2burner stove and couldn’t get it to light the propane. I adjusted it in every way possible, even tried different batteries, and still couldn’t get it to light. There was sparks from infighter to iron burners on both sides, but not enough to light the gas. I even tried cleaning the iron burners for better contact and still nothing. Very disappointed.

It did not come with instructions. First time I hooked it up it did not work and I could not figure out why. I went back to the Amazon listing and studied the pictures. You have to slip off the white wire so that the individual pieces can be installed from the inside of the burner. (little bracket the probe is on goes on the inside of the burner housing and then the screw is used on the outside of the burner to secure.) After I did this it worked fine. You carefully slip up the white harness once you have installed the probes then hook up the ends. Hopefully this saves someone some aggravation.

Bought for a camp chef camping stove that I bought to get through a 3 month kitchen remodel. Much nicer than using a butane lighter to light the stove. Used 2-3 times a day. Well worth it. Not just for cooking meals but also to heat water to do the dishes.

This product has a weak spark and scary to hear too much gas before it exploded to ignite the burner. Even though is not rocket science to install this product to my grill, it came with no instructions. Unfortunately this product has a very short live, the product case is plastic and after using the burners in a cookout, it melted down and ignition push button stopped working. I wouldn’t recommend this product.
