An inexpensive but reliable heart rate monitor that does everything much more expensive brands can do without the premium price tag. Connects via Bluetooth or ANT+ to my concept 2 rowing machine and I’ve used it in the gym with a variety of cardio equipment, too. Compatible with all the usual phone apps (Polar etc). The chest strap is comfortable and adjusts for size, but do moisten the sensors before use for the best connection.

Bought this as my watch was cadence locking. Works perfectly with my Garmin - after the first time I put the strap on, set the watch to record a session and within seconds they are paired. I also set wrist heart rate off just to double check source. Only tested against my watch so can’t comment on compatibility with phone etc. Perfectly comfortable and doesn’t move if fitted well. It’s just simple slide mechanism to adjust the length with infinite possibilities No idea on battery life as that’s supposed to be a year. Heart rate detected can be a little off for first mile if you don’t soak it eg are putting it on at an even, but after that seems fine and steady readings appearing on my watch. Do check exactly where you’re wearing the strap to get steady readings. If they are peaking quickly it’s not where it should be.

Initially a very good product. Connects to my laptop via Bluetooth and works with Zwift and MyWhoosh. However after 7-8 months of use only on the turbo it became slower and more temperamental to connect until it now doesn't read at all... Changing the battery, washing the strap, cleaning the contact points and still not able to connect. Tried emailing customer support but no reply. I would not buy again.

The Moonfit HR8 heart rate monitor has been very useful for my cardio sessions. I tend to overexert myself when exercising, but this helps me stay within a comfortable heart rate zone, so I don’t burn out or feel overly exhausted afterwards. I don’t go to the gym regularly, so I rely on budget-friendly options like cycling, using a treadmill, or jogging in the park. This monitor makes it easy to track my effort properly without needing expensive equipment, which has helped me stay more consistent. There’s no on/off button — it automatically turns on when worn and detects your heart rate. This can be tricky and challenging initially. THIS IS THE KEY - Where you place the chest strap matters a lot. In my case I had to position the heart rate monitor roughly around the lower sternum. You need the lubricate the electrodes with a little bit of water. I also found applying a little bit of water on my chest helped. If you're already sweating that helps too. I’ve been using it with the Open Pulse app, which shows real-time heart rate data, and it works perfectly. One downside is that you need to use your phone to view your heart rate. This works well indoors, but outdoors it can be less convenient to keep checking your phone while moving. A few simple workarounds that I have been considering but not yet implemented yet: Use an armband phone holder so you can glance at your heart rate more easily while jogging Use apps with audio alerts to notify you when you go above or below your target heart rate zone Pair it with a compatible smartwatch to view your heart rate live on your wrist Overall, this is a great tool for anyone serious about cardio, especially if you want to train smarter, stay consistent, and avoid overexertion without spending a lot. Highly recommended.

Works as expected, no trouble with connecting and has worked with multiple apps for me. It's an easy fit and you don't know you're wearing it. Battery life is great too as I've not needed to replace the battery in over two years so far.

The HR8 heart rate monitor has been used constantly and the battery is still going strong. It’s comfortable, stays in place on the chest, and connects easily to my phone. I’d recommend reading the manual, especially about wetting the silicon part that touches your skin to help it stick better. The monitor provides accurate readings, feels good quality, and offers excellent value. I’d definitely recommend it.

Can't really fault it. Seems to work as good as any other strap I've used in the past. I downloaded Polar Beat as the app which seems to connect fine.

So far I haven't had any issues with it, works perfectly with the polar app and is as accurate as my Huawei gt6 pro....both read the same when out running. At €21 you can't go wrong even if after 7/8 months it stops working ( could be the battery, as it says 400 hours use from the battery) you could just buy a new one......I do recommend using gel and not water to conduct the electricity for a better reading......

Reçu rapidement. Capteur cardiaque excellent. Il suffit de le clipser sur la ceinture thoracique puis de mettre celle-ci sur soi sans oublier d'humidifier les électrodes qui touchent la peau, ensuite activer l'appareil en bluetooth sur le smartphone. J'ai choisi "Polar beat" comme application, c'est nickel, j'ai le suivi cardiaque en direct lors de mon activité sportive. Je fais du vélo d'appartement et au départ j'avais pris une montre connectée Xiaomi, c'était nul, le suivi cardiaque ne fonctionnait pas sans doute à cause de la sueur. Ce capteur ci fonctionne à merveille, voir la photo ci-jointe d'un graphique après une scéance de vélo d'appart.

Der gut verarbeitete Brustgurt ist auch für üppige Menschen angenehm einzustellen, anzulegen und zu tragen und funktioniert, es sollte sich jedoch kein Metall in der Nähe befinden, das stört die Verbindung. Zur Montage auf den Brustgurt braucht es etwas beherzte Kraft, aber das sorgt für einen guten Kontakt. Als App für mein Android 15 Handy hab ich mir bei fdroid (eine Plattform wie Google Play nur ohne Google ) die kostenlose App "Pulsar" geladen. die meckert zwar, das ihr mein Android 15 zu neu wäre, keine Updates usw, aber funktioniert, wie ich es mir gewünscht habe: zeigt den Puls, schön gross lesbar und eine Stopuhr, die fortlaufend die Zeit der Pulsmessung misst.
