Exacrtly 10" long including the curve. Beautiful detail, painting and structure. All of it is made of rigid, rather heavy, durable plastic. Fins do not bend. For this reason, Mom or Dad, it should be kept off the floor. It would hurt if someone stepped on it with bare feet as I think someone already wrote. But it is a nice looking replica, and deserving of 5 stars. * Check your prices. There is another one out there.

Our three year old grandson loves this whale shark. It is really pretty. It will never break so it's definitely childproof. It encourages his imagination and that's what I love about it. Toys like this help keep him away from electronic games and helps him learn to play and entertain himself.

This is an excellent toy for my whale shark loving 4 year old. Reasons we love it:- beautiful paint and coloring, very true to life- no open areas in the plastic so it can go in the bath with no risk of mold- very good size compared to other ocean animal toys, so it has the feeling of being whale like!It is pretty heavy and the fins are hard plastic. I suppose it could hurt to step on, or hit a sibling with, but this is a great whale shark. If you're a marine enthusiast I could see it working as a display for adult collectors as well since it's life-like (not cartoony).

Good quality, great color, true to description. Grandson loves the shark; however, my concern is the hard plastic construction and pointy fins which could cause an injury. It has been on several road trips, many dips in the pool, and has held up very well.

Loved it! Bought for my grandson as a gift, after my husband and I went swimming with whale sharks in the Sea of Cortez. It's a nice sturdy replica, although I thought it would be bigger.

Design and artwork not what was expected'

Nice detailed whale shark. Initially, I felt $9.99 was a bit steep for the shark figure, but upon arrival, it was quite a bit larger than I expected. I had assumed it would be about the size of my palm or a bit longer, maybe six inches. In reality, it's probably around 10 inches. My son loves sharks and has been slowly upgrading his shark figure too more detailed/accurate versions and this figure did not disappoint.
