PMELBB173 PME Level Baking Belt for Round and Square Pans, 42 x 3-inch, Gray

Excellent I sed this for one of my layers for a wedding cake it worked great highly recommend this. And it works better then wetting a towel and wrapping it around your cake pan.

Works well as described

I used to use a cut wet towel wrapped in foil. What a game changer. It made a BIG difference in baking my cheese cake. Absolutely NO cracks. Would recommend to any one who bakes.

Get the correct size. I got one that's a bit too long, and it is unwieldy. But once you get it situated, works quitewell.

I purchased the 32 x 3-inch belt about a year ago. It actually measures 29.75 x 2.625'' -- getting it to fit a 9-inch cake pan requires some creative maneuvering. Otherwise, it works great. If you're looking at purchasing this baking belt, I suggest getting the longest one they have.

I bake Bundt cakes as well as layered cakes for holidays for friends and family. My first use around my single layered pan, it helped in keeping my edges around the sides of my cakes from scorching while cooking.

cheap, cheap, cheap. cannot place in dishwasher. cannot come in contact with any metal. basically a one use pan unless you are willing to baby a cake pan.

I like how leveled the cakes bake.

I only used it once, so perhaps I just need to experiment more.It didn’t seem to keep my cakes level, and then I ended up remaking the cakes without it, and it seemed more level. Mind you my first batch had half the sugar, that was my mistake, so it could be the overall recipe that made the difference.First impression however, not that positive, so I haven’t really been keen to give them another go, but will update once I do, if better results.

First time I've tried these and I am impressed. The cake wasn't puffed up on top so required no cutting to level it
