My husband is in love with this gadget: it is so relaxing to him to go outside and pick up acorns: it works great and very easy to use. It’s quick and you can dump out the acorn very easily.

This thing works amazing at picking up sweetgum balls that get dropped every year by the trees. That being said if your yard is over 1/4 of an acre I would highly suggest just getting a backpack leaf blower. While it works amazing I can't say it's any faster than just using a rake. Super impressed with how good it works but it doesn't do a wide enough path to do a larger yard. Construction is good but there are definitely some parts that are cheap on it so longevity could be a concern.

Pros: it works well, picks up black walnuts quite nicely. When the cage is empty, you will have to put push down to pick up nuts, but once it starts getting filled, the weight of the basket will do it for you.It is very light.It's pretty inexpensive for what you get.Cons: The light weight is due to the large amount of plastic. The ends of the cage sits in plastic holders. I don't know how long it will last as it's plastic rolling against plastic, there are no metal bearingsThe cage isn't held in very strongly, when shaking the cage to empty the basket, it can, and will, pop off. It's easy to put back on though.Use: works best when there aren't nuts all over, you can't use this after all your walnuts have fallen, works best when there is some space between nuts. Doesn't work well at all in deep grass. By deep, 4-5 inches or taller. The nuts will be embedded in and under the grass and won't be picked up.If you keep up with the nuts falling, and don't mind emptying if often, this is a good unit. If you have a lot a walnuts, from 3 or more trees, this is a bit under the task. And keep the grass trimmed!

I honestly did not think this thing would work but I was surprised! It works quite well and lessened the labor a good deal

So, I bought this to pick up acorns by my pool, in a 24 sq ft sandbox. The pool was taken down. Its almost spring and I am using it to pick up the nuts. It will drive nuts into the sand and gets sand in the sides and stops turning. It will drive the acrons deeper so many passes are needed. It picks up better on hards surfaces. It also grinds the shells apart. It is a slow process but much easier than by hand or kitty litter scoop.. Considering buying a second one.

Our neighborhood has many sweet gum trees, thus many, many gumballs to litter the ground. This is a true gumball picker that works exceedingly well. So glad to have found it.

The unit is sturdy and a great time and back saver (no long hours of being bent over picking them up by hand). We have sooooooo many walnuts that it fills up with just a few rolls. It works best on the recently dropped walnuts that haven't gotten too smooshy yet. The only downside, in my opinion, is the opening on the end to empty the unit. It does not have a "door" so sometimes they can start falling out if it is angled towards the opening. It does take a bit of effort to shake them out of the unit as well. But...the big picture...it is still so much better than walking around the yard bent over picking them each up by hand!

Works great at the acorns,but also grabs some stones if getting them off the gravel driveway. still it works like a charm would recommend it.

I have a large Black Walnut tree in my yard, and am constantly picking nuts up! The nuts wreck your grass and are a pain in the back to pick up (and they smell). I was skeptical about this tool when my wife recommended we purchase, I hate to admit it but she was right. The product works better then advertised.

Très pratique, très bien fait correspond à mes attentes, je conseil de prendre le format moyen si vous avez tout comme moi un arbre avec des pommes crab( pommette) parce que j'avais commandé le format grand et celles ci ressortaient parce-que les broches étaient trop espacé! Avec le format moyen, c'est parfait je le recommande vivement pour beaucoup moins d'effort
