Perfect for my new hobby of jewelry making. Easy to use & good value. Only complaint is plastic pegs do not fit the holes

I am very pleased with this wire jig. I’ve been trying to make a particular design freehand for a while and it never worked. Found a tutorial on YouTube using the wire jig, came out perfect the first time! I was so pleased that I made a second one, since the pegs were still in place. A couple of things about the tubes, be sure to use them. Some reviewers have complained that the pegs don’t stay in place. You need to use the tubes to hold the pegs in place and then hold them down while you bend the wire around it. Also, most of the tubes are too long so the grid does not lay flat on the table. Just cut them in half. They will still work and allow you to have the plate flat. Lastly, if you want a sharp bend, over bend your wire when going around the peg. Instead of stopping where you’d like the bend to be, bend it past that point and pull firmly. That way, it’ll retain its shape when you remove it. I am in love with my new toy and look forward to making many more projects!

Have had this for like a week or so now and I can say it helps pretty well for making neat shapes for my necklaces. The metal bits that you wrap your wire around do wiggle and slip out of the holes of you put too much pressure on them but overall they help me get the general shapes I want. The plate is pretty sturdy and so are the pieces. Its not big. I'd say its like a bit bigger than the palm of my hand. It definitely takes practice to use.

This is a great value little set. It comes with a page of instructions and examples of patterns. As others have mentioned, the pegs are a little wobbly if you don't use the little plastic sleeves to lock them in place. The reason for the wobble: The holes in the board are 3mm in diameter. The pegs are exactly 2.5mm. However... Rather than being a negative point, I see it as a huge positive. If you are even a little handy, you can get an M2.5 die (thread cutter) and some M2.5 nuts. As the the die is designed to cut threads in steel, the aluminum pegs are very light work, even without lubricant. Tighten the nut on the underside of the board and the wobbles are gone. It's also far sturdier than the plastic tubing. (Warranties may be voided) This also means if you need additional narrow pegs, 16mm or 20mm long M2.5 machine screws work perfectly as well. And you can use two additional nuts to lock the ends of the wire in place if that's needed (I find it useful). It took me under 15 minutes to thread all 30 pegs, and I never have to look at the plastic sleeves again. Great value, quite sturdy and absolutely perfect for what I need it for.

I feel the same about this product as others have posted. It's sturdy enough, but the pegs don't fit snugly in the holes and wobble. The plastic tubes are EXTREMELY difficult to get on and impossible to get off without a pliers which will ruin them quickly so they'll be useless. The tubes are also way to long as others have noted. The engineer needs to do a better job of securing the pegs in the holes so they don't wobble. I think they should fit in the holes snugly from an engineering standpoint and not require some plastic tubing to be placed on the bag. Even with the tubing, they still don't hold firm and tilt when wrapping the wire around the peg. Also, one of the bottom feet was off when it arrived and continues to fall off. I'll need to super glue it on. This product works, but the engineering could be much, much better for the price.
