Legend of the Five Rings Living Card Game

I have all of the FFG competitive LCGs besides Call of Cthulu, and FFG LCGs are some of my favorite games at this point. This game is great to me and has the potential to knock off my favorite game. For ~15 bucks, it's worth picking up 3 copies of this core set and you will get one of the best core set experiences out of any FFG LCG. It's amazing! I could easily put down 100 games with just 3 core sets. Highly recommend to those who like 2 player card games. MSRP for this back in the day was probably ~$35-40. You can get 3 of them for about the price of 1.

This is a great game. Played it several times now. to bad it was distributed by FF. They are getting a rep for their short lived licensed product the days.

I really love this game. It's far from simple. After investing the time it takes to learn the game. Its complexity makes your options seem limitless. You will need to buy more than just the core set. But if you buy a core set and a clan pack you're ready to play.

Este juego es muy divertido, sin embargo creo que tiene dos problemas. El primero, ganas ventaja entre mas conozcas las cartas de las facciones, algo bueno para un juego competitivo pero no tanto si quieres tener un juego para partidas esporadicas. Lo otro, muy seguramente requieras expansiones para no sentir monotono el juego. Por otra parte, muy buen juego.

Great fun game only issue is you need alot of tims to complete it and you need to print out the extended rule book which is quite large but fortunately very detailed... Some of the cards are a bit confuaing but there is a website online that also explains well the cards...basically it has a large learning curve

When the price dropped it was nice because you need to buy several to build a deck. You can get started with one to practice but, it’s addicting if you enjoy the type of game and want to get other cards.

Arrived early and in great condition. Game itself is beautiful. The new take on the game here by Fantasy Flight is fresh and innovative. It still feels like the L5R I started playing nearly 2 decades ago, but with a breath of fresh air.

Awesome game

As an old player from the previous version of this game, I'm quite impressed by the FFG rework.

L5R might be the most complex card game i have ever played but it sure is alot of fun to play. The main game mode Stronghold is uber long (up to 2 hours) but FFG has released an official 30-minute version of the game called Skirmish which is faster and even more fun. You will need 2 core sets to start playing skirmish but it is well worth the money. There are 7 different clans to play with and tons of expansions if you want to broaden your horizons. Highly recommended if you want something different than the usual TCGs

Great game! The downside is if you want to get more « competitive » and have 3 copy of each cards (the maximum copy of a single card you can have in a deck), you’ll need to buy 3 box. But still, one box is enough to have fun and learn to play.

Hooked from my first game. A cerebral experience that is both mentally taxing and rewarding in equal measure. It really is a step above some other card games I have played. On a side note, the theme and art on the cards is simply spectacular.
