Easy to set up. Works as a booster for my HIVE boiler thermostat and links easily with ALEXA so it controls lights etc where switches are not easy to reach.

Boosts Hive signal AND works as remote plug
I didn't realise at first but this works to boost the signal of Hive products and works as a remote plug on the app. There's also a button to turn on/off the light or whatever you have plugged in to it.The app also shows how much power is being used by the device plugged into it. Excellent and easy to install.

Great item TOO damn expensive
It is a wonderful bit of kit but ridiculously expensive and Hive savage their customers sadly hence the 4 stars

Easy to use
Bought so I can switch my electric blanket on while I’m downstairs before bedtime easier than running up and downstairs when you’re disabled.Now an hour before bed I just switch it on via the app on my phone .

Bought for the signal boost
I bought this for the signal boosting feature. It seems the Hive Hub has a relatively short range (I was told 10-12 metres by Hive support, which is not far). I located this in the hall approximately half way between controller and hub and 'hey presto' signal drop-out problems solved.I was grumbling a bit about having to dedicate a socket outlet to this item when I realised that I can also use it to turn a lamp on and off via Alexa. So I plugged the hall lamp into it, linked it to Alexa, and I now have a voice-controlled hall lamp. Bonus!
