Ignore the reviews about lack of box etc (unless you really, really, wanted the box) - what's important is the stuff inside. This is a wonderful drop. Way better than the standard rye variant which seems to be more style over substance. This is the real deal, a fruity as opposed to bone dry rye which is super smooth and too good to waste in a cocktail. The usual banana elements in JD is amped down too in this one which is no bad thing. Sip neat and savour. Anything around or under £40 is a bargain.

Both the bottles I have ordered came with the box, but even if they didn't it's what's inside the bottle which really counts and this rye doesn't fail to deliver.Whilst it's not cheap when paying full RRP, the added smoothness over the Jack Daniels straight rye (currently £25 a bottle) to me is worth every penny.Update - The 3rd bottle I have ordered which arrived today did not come with the display box.

I had been making my old-fashioned with bullet rye, which is great – but when I saw Jack Daniels was making a single barrel I just had to try it. Boy, was I not disappointed! This stuff is incredible, lots of notes and super smooth!

I’ve been looking forward to trying this as a late convert to rye whiskey and it doesn’t disappoint. However in common with many reviewers I’ve been scratching my head wondering where has the advertised presentation box gone? Is it because it’s sold at a good price? That’s all well and good but I think we should be told before buying

I ordered this item as a Xmas present for my Elderly Father who has started collecting Jack Daniels after having a bad few years. I ordered it specifically because it clearly shows it with a box. The first time it came with NO box I phoned and complained and told them Yes I want a replacement but DO NOT SEND IT UNLESS IT COMES WITH THE BOX ADVERTISED. Well we were assured YES it will come with the JD box, well guess what after no Xmas present for dad and the promise that its all sorted and a new order is on the way they get it bloody wrong again.Yes it did arrive in a box A Bloody Big Brown Cardboard One aagghh. I then phoned them again and informed them of their missleading advertising, louring people in with a picture that is clearly not right and hoping that they the customer will not do anything about it because they have the bottle. (If you see a sofa advertised for sale and you buy it you expect to come with the cushions to sit on).The same goes for a collector your buying what you see in the picture not half of it. I then informed the person on the other end of the phone that I had just read the reviews of this product (which yes I admit i should of done first time).People have complained for a few years that it does not come with a box AMAZON have clearly known about this issue for 3 YEARS . I informed them off this and they said they will look into it,which is what they should of done before when numerous customers have complained . So now we have 2 bottles to return which we have to pay for and be refunded. But what annoys me the most is a Clearly Sad Dad no Xmas present to cherish but HEY HO Amazon are you bothered probably not.I did ask if I would hear if the problem was with Amazon or the supplier and their answer was a clear NO we will look into it.appaling customer servicePlease ladies and Gentleman this item DOES NOT COME BOXED and is still being bloody shown with one even when they know it doesn'tSo do not buy if you want it in a box unless you like a large brown cardboard 1Also if anyone finds/or know where a bottle in a boxis for sale please let me knowRant over from a disgruntled Amazon shopper
