I'm not sure what folk getting 3-5 days usage out of the battery are doing with their Gear S3, but they sure ain't using it as a fully functional smartwatch in my opinion. If you have it connected to your phone by bluetooth, with the wi-fi for back-up, the GPS on for location services, check your heartrate a few times a day, use the health app stuff, read your email and text notifications throughout the day and maybe send a few replies, catch up with your schedule and have a few alarms/reminders set then you will end up on about 50% usage each day. That's what I get, and I consider that average use for a smartwatch. What's the point of having one if you are just looking at the time every now and then and turn all the useful stuff off? I charge it every night, like most people. If away from home overnight I pack the charger, it's tiny and light. What won't happen with the Gear S3 is that you'll run out of battery in a day. Ever. I didn't even drain the battery on the day I got it, set it up and fiddled the hell out of it...

No. This watch uses Tizen OS rather than Android Wear therefore it does not have any Android based apps such as Android pay. You will have to wait for Samsung pay to be released to use payment on this watch.

Q: How strong are the vibrations and how long do they last on the notifications

There are 2 settings of vibrations - light and strong intensity. You will definitely feel it when your alarm goes, phone rings or receive an email. You can choose your style of buzz and how long it goes on for. If it's a phone call it will buzz as long as your phone rings, similar to the alarm. As for notifications you can choose default 2 second burst, or 3 second slow buzz. You can add a tone if you think you need sound as well, plus the screen lights up to catch your attention.
